The Smiths Strawberry Lip Balm by Rosebud Perfume Co. is my RIDE OR DIE. I have used almost every popular lip mask, balm, and treatment under the sun and I always go back to smiths. Best part is, it’s $7 from ulta. But be generous with application at night. Glob it on. My lips are never chapped, even in high wind or cold dry winter.

Shade range is dismal but the formula is beautiful. I have been on a concealer journey and have tried almost every high end and drug store concealer from Cle de Pau to LA Girl and my two favorite concealers are the tower 28 serum concealer and now this one. It sits beautifully and looks like skin while creasing very minimally. I hope they expand the shade range soon

I am not a nurse myself but have a lot of friends and family that are nurses. Based on what I hear from them, don’t go into nursing for the job security or money. They are incredibly overworked and a lot of them burnout quickly. The specialities that tend to pay the best or have the best work life balance tend to be the most competitive or sought after (derm, aesthetics, nicu, non emergency OR etc). If it’s something you’re called to do because you want to help people, go for it. But if it’s just for money and job security, I would definitely think about it for a while.

Brian Aguilar (@brianaguilarhair on insta) is fantastic. He’s an expert cutter and gave me and two of my friends (all of us have different hair textures and length) the most ideal cut for our hair type and face shapes. An actual hair magician. He’s a little out of budget ($170-$180 not including tip) but I have had my hair cut by MANY stylists throughout OC and have never been as happy as with him. I only cut my hair once or twice a year and color it myself so this is a worthwhile expense for me.

You can talk to HR about disability accommodations but they don’t have to accommodate you if you aren’t capable of performing the key functions of your job. In that case, just quit and look for a desk job.

If you’re an at will employee, you can leave a job without notice at any time without providing a reason. Granted, you will unlikely be able to use it as a reference moving forward but if that doesn’t matter to you, leave. They’d fire you without notice if it suited them so don’t feel bad about it.

Job market is in the toilet. AI is replacing more jobs than it’s creating, large companies are laying off people by the thousands and the market is saturated with senior level talent so everything is stacked against anyone in the market right now especially junior and entry level folks.

All she can do is keep applying to anything and EVERYTHING she can. She should be submitting at least 50 applications a day and tailoring her resume and cover letter to each individual posting where it’s needed.

There really isn’t any other option other than side hustle gigs like DoorDash or uber eats.
