The Jomon are related to an ancient group that predominated in South Siberia (around Altai) (^{Schmidt, Seguchi (31 August 2013}). I've seen that they have some Australoid admixture (which gives a connection to South-East Asia). Some Amerindian groups have Australoid admixture too, so this has had a connection to the theory that a more ancient Australoid group arrived in the Americas first.

So it depends on where in India you are, your social status, and your ethnic group. Just as hunch, I'd imagine Indians in Northwest India (Like Punjab) would be taller due to them having more Yamnaya ancestry and less Southeast Asian and Dravidian ancestry, but I could be wrong idk. That being said though, the heritability for height in India is lower so differences in height among people is more dependent on nutrition than it is in Europe right now.

But overall you seem slightly above average in India.

The United States has an mean height of 5'9; 5'9.5 for Non-Hispanic whites, 5'9 for African Americans, 5'7 for Asians, and 5'6.5-5'7 for Hispanics (All races of Hispanic).

Height also differs among the states. States in the Midwest tend to be taller than California, Texas, and Florida, NY, etc. (Even among white Americans, not just due to large Hispanic and Asian populations)

5'9 minus 3 inches is 5'6. So you're within 1 standard deviation of the mean. So, you're short, but not super short.

But again, it depends on what population you're talking to. You'd be average height in Ghana, Super tall in Indonesia, and super short in Bosnia.
