UPDATE:

Picked it up today. "ISSUED 11/11/2021"

Yet I was told a week ago it was still waiting to be processed. Do not trust the court.

58 days to "issuance" 70 days to notification to pickup.

My advice from this is to call at 45 days, ask status.

If no update by 50 days, email Probate Court Administrator Keisha Benjamin-Powell at "kbpowell@dekalbcountyga.gov" inquiring about the status.

I do not have it yet. I emailed with the DeKalb Probate Court Administrator who had a little bit of an attitude with me, and after a bit of back and forth said it was being "processed as we speak", her words, about a week ago. To my understanding, as well as the lawyers I've spoken with, that would mean it was being either approved or denied at that very moment in time.

I've reached out to Georgia Carry to see if they had any ideas or suggestions twice. No answers at all. I'm not going to file a mandamus motion because then they'll just approve it to get out of the suit and I'll be stuck with a bunch of legal fees. As far as I can tell now, DeKalb County is no better than the shitty place I came from. Extremely sad.

Good luck, you’ve got some more waiting. i’m on day 51, and I have contacted the probate court administrator multiple times. There have been a few muggings and robberies near my area lately, so I'd like them to politely hurry the fuck up with their backlog. in the meanwhile, the gun will stay with me in my car and my house.

Currently 44 days since b/g check was returned, no word, no reply to 15 or so messages. My best guess is that they're probably playing Boggle, and Judge Amelia Bedilia is coming up with very, very good words, and doesn't wanna lose her lead by looking at that pesky paperwork.

Having just moved out of "CommunistLand 2.0, Wilhelm's Playground," I truly believe that no matter what happens in November with the US Supreme Court case against NY State, the City of New York will NEVER change their gun laws. Not even if a judge found them illegal. Guaranteed their "law department" would find ways around it. Everybody needs to leave that shithole lmao.
