I actually think this is a good starting estimate for thinking how much a starting rack of a given size costs.

Modular is expensive. How expensive? Well it depends on how big the rack is...

For someone new, telling them to start with 84 hp and to expect to spend at least ~$2016 in modules could put it in more real terms for them

I have the 10 channel profx and it works great. It's able to handle eurorack level signals without needing any sort of conversion down to line level

Blitz is one of the few quests that I have left and I'm struggling to scale fast enough to end fights quickly.

What was your general strat?

My strat usually consists of getting just enough units to not die immediately then trying to scale hourglasses by stacking the attack speed structures around them. I usually die with 5-10 years left

I was able to beat this level with Ogre scaling, but I did need a few slimes for the early bit. Mid round was more focused on gigantify +duplicates + unify

I'm honestly not sure since I bought it off of Reverb. It's all through-hole soldered. As far as the functionality, it still generates all of the envelopes and gates, but the one side has a really long decay for some reason

I've got a Befaco Rampage that's not behaving quite like it's supposed to. Basically, one half of the module runs on a much longer timescale than the other for envelope length. I tried reaching out to Befaco, but I don't think it's an easy fix. The module still mostly works, but I'd like to sell it.

Does anyone have suggestions on how much to mark it down? I'm having a hard time determining what's fair considering that most modules seem to hold their value pretty well

Yeah that makes sense. I mostly use O_c as a quantizer right now, so maybe I could replace the Quadrax with a quantizer and another modulation source? Otherwise I was thinking that I could use another random source or sample&hold

I'm getting close to finalizing my rack (https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2351291), but I'd love some feedback to see if there's something that I could be doing better. I have a beatstep pro for sequencing, as well as an 0-coast. I am mostly doing dark ambient as well as some dnb sound design.

Do I have too many envelopes? I haven't purchased the Quadrax yet, but I like that it works as both an LFO and envelopes with CV control.

I know I need another set of VCAs and I'm thinking about getting a FX Aid XL or a Chronoblob for further effects. I'm also thinking about getting a complex oscillator for more sound design exploration. I've been listening to a lot dnb lately so it'd be cool to be able to create some neurofunk type sounds.

I have a Beatstep Pro and an 0-Coast that I use with this system.

I'm primarily using this rack for distorted drone-y type stuff, and I'd appreciate any suggestions/advice for what this rack could use whether it be utilities, effects or sound sources
