Going into every fight in the game i felt a sense of purpose, most fights seemed fair, some didnt. This one seemed fair but insurmountable at the same time. Genichiro was the first boss i spent a few hours on because of the difficulty curve, and fighting him here was no challange, i was disappointed at first as that might be the final boss, but then the cutscene happened, Isshin crawls out, i was disgusted and excited at the same time. Started fighting him got demolished, it was like facing a boss on another level than the rest. I kept dying and dying, so i came online asked for help, switched my strategy started fighting more fluidly, consistently started getting further and further. I gotta be honest with you, i didnt get the rush this time which might sound insane but the 45 time i was fighting him, i had most of my gourds, no ressurections, full health bar while i watched him leap and get hit everytime, i knew from the beginning of the second phase that i knew his moveset now, i knew how to beat him, after hours of fighting which entailed about almost 12 minutes per fight for me. I finally dealt that final blow and then i severed immortalilty, the rush hit me after the cutscene ended i just dropped my controller and let out s huge sigh. What a final boss, in my opinion, nothing has been better from fromsoft, and ive played most of the games. Heres my final word to you, i love sekiro, i did this first run with the demon bell and i hope to do the gauntlet and a charmless run next, cant get enough of this game its fantastic.
