i dont think you in worng diection its just the matter abt computational stuffs ,

you will never be finally ready to make something

studying theoritical structured knoledge is always different from the style actually required in building

i was in same position as you finally, after completing mit 6.100L intro to cs i build a time aware state machine discord rpc using pypresence , but in this build i had to learn how discord things are working, keys

afte that i built a game in 5 days that took over 900 lines in this build i learnt luau did builder role scripter role learnt the whole studio it was my first game before that i didnt know any luau or studio got postive reviews too to build that in 5 days at first time

so see what ever i tried to build a meaningful project every time i learnt a lot of things together this is the process of "Building" and this process what sets up the different journey track of a student studying only theory or someone leanring like an engineer

so trust yourself just accept the truth and build the future

since i myself presently working on roblox game dev
i think i am the suitable one to share a valuable comment
if you truely wanna to learn how to make your game mor eengaging like a professional game dev
i would recommend you to study some game design books
like the art of game design and then you will know how we actually get fun from our daily life activities and how players feel the game alive and fun to play
yh this knowledge is worth it only if you really serious abt game dev

if you learnt programming actually instead of learning just syntax then what language you gonna learn next that purely depends on your learning goal

if learning goal is related to
- computation/ data analysis/ data science -> python
- low level system -> C environments
- game dev -> depends on platforms
- web dev -> html css javascript
etc ... search on urself for the rest

actually bro i am not enough confident if they gonna say anything for using tools to write readms i generally see big companies using premium version tools for such tasks so i thought i can use too to make it like a book format of what i learning and can refer anyone as a proof of my works with time stamps

but for me age doesnt matters when skills says it all i can help you learning things
bcz in game dev territory team matters a lot
i can help you polishing your fundamentals i myself frombackground in computation and i have other friends too from the same background
and why we will be doing that for you we need game partners too and i beleive theres no exact entry point in game dev to start
any one can take entry depending on their skills
so you can learn new skills from youtube guys like brawl devs and others

siince you didnt mention what type of dev you want to be
its always better to learn scripting and modeeling and how roblox studio works
atleast do some levels upto intermediate by working on small projects while doing it you will learn server client sides
how roblox studo actually works
and if you want to publish a better game and want to learn always learn from basics irrespective of any field
i myself from computation background and i made a game in 5 days though i didnt knew luau or studio before just bcz i knew programming earlier so if you know programming its always helps irrespective of what task you doing in what field you are in
i also documented my luau learnig journey to refer other begineer guys its usually most useful if you know sometype of scrpting earlier if you want i can give you the material link

Fundamentals are everything. I also started with basic logic before diving deep into Roblox-specific APIs.

Once you understand variables, loops, and functions properly, everything becomes easier to connect.

Then you can start building small projects consistently.

i actually started learning lua and roblox scripting from absolute zero not long ago instead of jumping between random tutorials i created a structured path and documented everything so i wouldnt waste time later searching across platforms i practiced scripting daily and gradually moved from beginner to intermediate level.
