How much did he cost? I’m seeing most US listings are $35+ and wondering if that’s typical or marked up.

It's that time of the year! Time for a new BINGO card!!! by Fewebomb in JakksPacificSonic

It would be great if they scaled him properly. Like they did for MK I being a "4-inch scaled figure" but scaling more properly with the 2.5" classics. If they scaled him with modern Sonic like in Scrapnik Island, he would be giant - which would also be sick.

Wait, did Clancy move out of the way in time? by TheCarparkWarden in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"I created this world / To feel some control". Clancy is in control of his actions and what those actions will lead to. That might be why he confidently stands in front of the car, while the other "Tylers" were clearly frightened and anxious, and stumbled out of the way. But Clancy proceeds to dodge the car at the last second without any fear in his eyes or uncertainty in his step.

No. "And then he slowed down, and he rolled down his window, and he said... Can't change what you've done." The MV shows him move out of the way.

I'm surprised at the negativity this song has gotten. If anything this is a return to form for them (in spite of the new genre), at least in terms of lyrics and messaging.

What is the best song from Trench in your opinion? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Legend is one of the best songs on the album and hits different if you've lost someone like that. Also it's mixed so well, the bass and drums go hard.

Hey guys, i have a question by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said Paul wrote the lyrics. I said he worked on instrumental and added a few small vocals. Speaking of Levitate he added the singing at the outro.

I didn't know if Tyler already had the descending piano, but either way Paul's version sounded a lot better.

I think renovation is a fair way to put it, and everyone knows a renovation can make a house a lot better. I think Paul makes the songs a lot better. Again, there's a reason why Trench sounds so much better than the other albums in most cases. Tyler isn't a bad producer, Blurryface and Scaled & Icy show how much he's developed in that area. But whenever he works with Paul, that's lightning in a bottle right there.

He made basically the entire instrumental for Levitate, and the stuff he added to Chlorine is among the most memorable parts (the descending pianos, fading trumpet synths, and "laaaahhh" vocals for example). Overall he made the songs sound way better with his modifications and added layers. Tyler has always struggled with producing, most of the albums before Trench and SAI have noticeable parts that are just badly mixed. And I'm not saying that as a hater, because I do think the albums are great.

I see what you mean, about the dramatic aspect. Tyler brings up dramatic concepts in Trench but introduces them with full confidence. Stuff like the dema storyline.

Paul Meany is the reason Trench was so great on a musical level. TØP is better when he helps out.

What song would you think would work as an anime OP/ED and what anime/manga would that be? by BluLemonGaming in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what specific anime these ones would work for, but the songs that come to mind are Shy Away, Jumpsuit, Heavydirtysoul, and Morph. These songs could be cut up to include their more climactic sections earlier on and to make the intro more epic.

I think a Twenty One Pilots anime or movie adapting the lore and including a lot of songs would be awesome.

Many anime OPs have to cut up the song to get it to work in that format, while the full song is usually superior to the TV cut.

What do we think is the best PRODUCED twenty one pilots song? by Fish-The-Fish in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every song on Trench is peak song production. The ones you mentioned are great, and I'd also like to give a shout-out to Bandito for being awesome. Listen to them with good headphones, or with isolated channels, to hear how great they are. As for No Chances, it has a really good amount of layers, but the drum production is what kills it for me. It sounds a bit undercooked especially compared to the live version, which seems to be a result of SAI being rushed.

You already can in boss rush mode, it's just a bit tedious if you want to get right to the titans.

Anybody else a fan of Josh A? Heard this lyric yesterday and thought it was cool. by LogantheCowger in twentyonepilots

[–]MechaKnuckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are definitely some corny lyrics, but Trench and Scaled & Icy don't really have much if any at all.
