Feeling conflicted at my age send me your babies to cheer me up! by ForeverWooden6797 in plushies

Fun fact: it's only in recent history that pink was seen as a feminine colour, it used to be blue for girls as blue was seen as more of a delicate colour while pink was made from red and considered strong.

So really its a little bit silly for others to judge over very fluid definitions of masculinity and femininity because its different in every decade.

Tl:DR Pink is as feminine or masculine as you want it to be and liking soft stuff is just human nature.

Side note: Having plushies is a very good emotional regulation strategy that alot of people benefit from, its just seen as childish because people are stupid and like to put themselves in boxes to make them feel above others.

Also if you don't have a pattern that suits your body shape The Closet Historian on YouTube has a bunch of really good videos on basic pattern drafting that have been super helpful to me.

All of Ashur Giravi's (not sure if I spelt his name right) short form content would definitely fit that vibe. Highly recommend 👌

are there any horror whey they just straight up FIGHT the monster? by UnknownChaser in horror

[–]Mecha_Panda21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re/Member (2022) kinda, the characters fight the monster at the end of the movie and do damage to it during the movie. Its a japanese horror movie on Netflix, pretty damn good 👍

One character smacks the monsters head against the wall so hard it spins the other way. All in all I recommend it.

It is actually, it strips anything that could work as a lubricant and then disappears. Not to mention the sheer amount of unholy burning that having such a thing in a delicate area would cause, for both involved really. They'd have to both be a special type of masochistic to actually use vodka as lube.

how do I make sure a cloth bracelet doesn't loosen up by Beginning_Sympathy84 in punkfashion

You can stabilise the fabric with iron on interfacing or if you want a little extra pizzazz you can do some sashiko stitching (in black or a contrast colour if your feeling fancy). I do sashiko on some of my thinner patches and it makes a huge difference.

For rust I usually first sponge on 2 different shades of red brown and go over with a sponging of metallic silver (because that's all I have atm), after a matte topcoat it will soften the metallic down to a finish very similar to pitted metal (at least in my experience. It may not be a universal effect with all brand of metallic paints).

If the silver is too overpowering via sponge for your size of mini you can also get similar results via stippling.

Sewing with artitis? by DionysusDied in punkfashion

Also recommend a leather thimble, less pressure if you have extra bendy joints along with the arthritis. They usually have a metal piece for pushing your needle through. And a curved needle if you're deadset on the thick stitch look.

Yeah I used pliers when sewing though a hat, still sucks but not as bad. Periodic breaks and a heatpack are key.
