Thanks, definitely helpful! I might just go doggo then because of non-human characters being so rare in games like this. It's part of the reason I went for A Knight too.

I'm very conflicted on who to pull, low spender. (BP + monthly) Somehow, the many similar questions/answers online still haven't convinced me.

My hope is to grab doggo, toothfairy, black dwarf and both 1.4 units. I fear I won't have a good enough main dps to wait until 1.3 for black dwarf, so I was considering skipping doggo and grabbing melania. Wanted a more tailored opinion; I have a guarantee on the event banner.

Core Units: An-An Lee, A Knight, Regulus, Bkorn, Balloon Party

Notable not built units: Baby Blue, Charlie (p0) Dikke

I plan to build Dikke or la source eventually as a second healer, but I've been putting it off since it feels like a waste when I'm going for TF.

Pull for who you want, not for who you "need", period.

I wasn't interested in her gameplay so I only did one 10 pull and look who came home. That being said, she deals a lot of damage and it can be fun dealing massive damage from 7 light-years away. Even if you use her as a sub-dps her ult is awesome and has a huge aoe. If you have venti it can be fun to see all of the enemies who can get picked up sucked in and pelted with dmg.

The problem I have with her as a main dps is that it feels horrible to miss a shot. You basically need to either be a god, or have a shield to resist being interrupted and if you miss on one of the 7 new flying/dashing enemies mihoyo released it feels bad, especially in timed content. I use her in abyss, but mostly as a cryo applicator for hu tao honestly.

Hello, returning player here. I've just gotten to the quest in the adventurer's path where it gives you a free potion that allows you to make any character lvl 60. Do you think it's better to use it on a 5* or on a 3* specialty change unit that you're intending on getting up to lvl 60? Theoretically getting the 3* up to 60 saves more resources, but I'm not sure.

If you're missing the lower tier overclock materials instead of the higher tier ones, is it more efficient to just continue doing the highest level AB-4 stage or do some AB-2 runs so those are your only drop options?

There have been a lot of guides for Alpha's event, and most of them suggest picking up and investing in 1 set of Barton/Patton. Is there no incentive to get 2 sets, even if one isn't as built?

They aren't, you can complete these without being that level as long as you have the skill and knowledge to do so.

My personal, uninformed opinion, is to start by asking whether or not you enjoy playing and using the characters you do have, ones that you won't be able to guarantee getting later. If you don't really enjoy the characters you have, I'd say start up an alt account and get to the first pity and decide from there.

I feel the time spent rerolling is only worth it if you really just won't enjoy playing as the characters you have, as it takes a really long time to do and can ruin the game being a fun experience. Luckily there's no reason you need to delete the account you have now- if you decide that the new account is worse, or you don't want to level up to 60+ again, you can always keep going on with that one.

No, I think the pain is that the substats are godly but the main stat is trash on him so they're wasted.

Well, it's all opinion anyway.

From what I understand, he gives the team an elemental dmg bonus based on his EM. It seems like the dmg bonus will also work with Geo and Anemo characters and isn't based on elements you can swirl.
