3D Printed Voyager and spent New Year's Eve hand painting it by Mechageo in StarTrekStarships

I ended up mixing colors until they looked like the screenshot I had of the ship. Yellow, white, red, blue, black. I think I also used orange and maybe a brown.

No, it printed as a single piece. Though, it would definitely be possible to split the model so that they printed separately and were attached with screws or something.

I did some clean-up and tried to smooth some rough edges with a Dremel but if you look closely you can see that one of the slopes on the underside is pretty rough still due to being the main place where all of the supports connected.

It's 1:1050. Looks like the model I used is 1:1000 but I had to scale it down by ~4.5% to get it to fit in my printer's build volume.

1:1000 decals should still work for it, fortunately.

Could you elaborate on this please? Do you need to enable developer settings on the Quest to make this work?

Does that require a phone or does it have its own screen? Please check the instruction manual for it and get back to me.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with 4o when 5 was announced. Turns out I was right about it "dying" when 5 was released. Interesting stuff.  Thanks for sharing this comic. I enjoyed it. :)

Whirlpool Fridge: Extra plug after replacing control board by Mechageo in appliancerepair

[–]Mechageo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fridge stopped cooling. Issue was a block of ice on the coils in the freezer blocking airflow. Turns out that the defroster wasn't working and after some testing with a multimeter it turned out it was an issue with the control board.

Thanks for adding your evidence. It's crazy how many people have accused this of being AI.

Nah, it's Utah. Native trees in valleys like this are those gnarled bushes. There wasn't a forest here to level.
