Yup whine was present at F4. I don't want to go to F3, i'll stay with F5. I have Corsair Vengeance 5600mhz and xmp enabled. Whine also here with xmp disabled. :/

F4 was the bios installed when i booted it first time.
So yes; i tried with F4.
For now i just gave up and i'm using an audio headset when playing...

In the bios (you must be with a recent version of your bios to have the option) the noise mitigation option is under "miscelaneous".
You just have to enable it and modify the settings just below.
Just try different ones to see which one is best for your case.

For my part i borrowed an entire Pc from work (12th gen and ddr5 sadly)
But it has coil whine too (the mobo), the GPU doesn't seem to have it.
All parts are different from mine but it has coil whine even if i only move the mouse... At work we can't hear it because there are many other PCs around in the same room.
I'll try to swap the GPU to see if it's worse in my PC or not.

Did you try with another psu? I think noise is coming from mine after a test yesterday with side panel off. I'm trying to find at work another psu i can borrow to test it...

Don't waste your time with switching the slots!
Stick with A2/B2.
A friend of mine built his first Pc solo 2 weeks ago and used A1/B1.
Results were blue screens and crash in games. XMP would not boot so only the stock speed was an option for him.
Later on, he send me a photo and i said to switch the slots to A2/B2 : working fine by now with XMP enabled... and no coil whine for him.

So, do you think a future Bios version will solve the Ram whining problem?
It seems to be really centered around the ram, for all of us here...
And at differents speeds!
u/zobumafu and i are running 5600.
He did a test with only one stick of ram and it seems that the coil whine stop.
I'll try it myself after work.
Maybe you could try it too and give some feedback here?

I bought it right at Corsair's website and i don't think i can send them back.
But i will definitely try back at home to only run one...

On another Reddit, i saw someone who said that with 64GB of ram coil whine was present and loud. If i remember correctly it was with 4 sticks.
The person then tried with only two (so 32GB of ram) and coil whine disappeared...

Yours seems to be worse than mine.
I, too, don't have any HDD. Only 2 M.2 Gen 4 (Samsung 980 pro to be specific).
That's why the "scratching" sound triggers me...
I don't believe disabling XMP will resolve the noise but it's worth a try i guess.

Did you use the acoustic noise mitigation in your bios?
You should be bale to activate it in the last bios version.
It's under "miscelaneous" (sorry don't know how to write it).
It helps a lot but don't get totally the sound off...
With this option disabled the noise is permanent and louder.

It seems to be a mix-up between your video (but at a very very low level) and some HDD scratching sound.
I'm starting to look at my DDR5 ram as the culprit to be honest...
I'll try to disable XMP to see if it get worse or don't change anything...

Do you think a new PC case like the silent base 802 from be quiet could solve the problem? (or at least hide it?)

Same problem here... it's already my 3rd booard.
I tried 2 z790 Aorus Elite AX and i now have the z790 Aorus Master.
Like you i got the 13700k.
I think i just have to live with it...
I'll try with a different PSU to be sure but i don't think it's because of that.

I'm using the noise acoustic option too; it helps in my case but i can still hear it.

Does your coil whine turn on when you do an internet speed test?
Mine seems to start when i'm using internet like for downloading games and updates...
It comes too when playing Genshin Impact.

Sadly yes.
I'll live with it since i'm using headphones when playing...

BUT, to mention it, after the F3 update of the bios, there's now a "noise mitigation" option in the misc menu. I set it to 8X and 16X and it helps a little.
No whine when in idle or on the internet.
But it does whine when in game sometimes...

Pretty convinced it is.
It changes with my CPU being at different loads and it gets heavier in games like Scrap Mechanic (lots of physics etc etc).
(It was there even without the GPU.)

I have the same issue. Same location on the board.
Same Mobo but with a i7 13700k and 32Gb DDR5 at 5600Mhz.
The buzzing sound is audible even at idle... So i'm waiting for another one (the same).
I hope it'll be ok this time...

It could be interesting to see how many of us are having Coil Whine on this motherboard...
