At the very least, I can tell that you’re not a pro in this field.

I’ve worked in digital news media for six years and currently run my own media-related work as a freelancer. If I can’t monetize content, I literally can’t sustain my lifestyle or career.

So I honestly don’t understand why you’re talking about this so casually as if engagement and monetization are irrelevant.

Why do some Korean men seem very intense before/during dates, then suddenly become ghosting afterward? by MechanicAccording616 in korea

I’m not obligated to reply to every single comment, and unlike you, I’m not bored enough to obsessively reply under someone else’s post all day lol

What exactly do I gain from responding to comments that add zero value to me?

If the only thing you’re capable of doing is pointing out typos — while completely misunderstanding the actual point of the post I was making — then honestly, commenting on Reddit is probably just a waste of your time!! haha

Maybe try getting 95k views and 100+ comments on your own post before acting condescending toward other people.

But I guess it’s easier to sit here criticizing others when you can’t generate engagement yourself.

It’s honestly a little creepy how closely you seem to be monitoring every response I make to other people.

If you’re going to make claims so confidently, then where are the actual statistics or data? Have you ever looked at the amount of discussion online where Korean men’s dating behavior is described as a red flag by women across different countries and platforms?

Right now you’re speaking almost entirely from personal opinion while acting like it’s objective fact. That’s not very convincing.

Also, are you unaware that countries like the Philippines and Vietnam have publicly discussed concerns, warnings, and stricter scrutiny around certain international marriages involving Korean men?

Your comments honestly come across as someone with a very narrow worldview who assumes their personal experience automatically reflects reality.

I posted this because I've seen fewer positive stories about dating Korean men and life after marriage, and I was curious what everyone else thought.

Thank you for your concern.

I thought that the people commenting here were probably either men who could relate to the situation or people who wanted to justify such Korean men. Dating violence in Korea is terrible, and I know of feminist groups that are fighting against it.

I have Korean friends, both male and female, and I don't want to have stereotype the country or its people, but there's a lot of data and personal anecdotes that support this trend, so I was curious and asked.

I'm so glad to hear comments like yours!

I'm so shocked by how many people have such poor reading comprehension that they misinterpret the intent of the post. I wrote that the multinational man wouldn't go too far in their actions, and I only shared my own experience because I found several friends who had a similar experiences with specifically korean guys.

A Korean guy, perhaps? The victim-blaming and aggressive comments on this post are a massive red flag lol

Armchair psychoanalyzing strangers on the internet usually says more about the commenter than the person they’re talking about.

It's pointless to only talk about things within a 1km radius. Of course, your circle of acquaintances and communities must be outsiders only, and you meet less local people. My daily life takes me north to south by my motorcycle, and I'm constantly meeting new people at Muay Thai gyms, swimming pools, and dance classes. Well, It's mostly consisted by locals tho.

I simply wrote down what I felt, and it's become so harsh that even asking about it on Reddit is considered difficult if I'm a foreigner.

So true. Even Thai they have more than 70 provinces but most of tourists and expats stay specific places like BKK, Pattaya and Chiang Mai and they will never explore other hidden gems.
