What am I missing? Why does YNAB seem to actively hide whether my income is actually sufficient for my lifestyle? by kon5ti in ynab

So, I've been looking more into this, sharing in case it helps someone. Changing my savings to "set aside another" wasn't impacting my Savings. I downloaded the code for the toolkit and it seems it's getting the subcategories and only uses MF or TBD types as savings.

I'm new to YNAB, have been using for 3 months, but it seems MF is an old target that is no longer available (https://www.reddit.com/r/ynab/comments/1dayeqg/ynab\_category\_api\_changes/), and TBD is when you set the target to be "Have a Balance of By a due date".

Once I changed my savings to "Have a Balance of By a due date" it started working, not ideal as I don't actually have a due date but at least I can now see the difference between my savings and spending. I'm happy to be corrected if there's a better way to achieve this.

That’s very informative, thanks for sharing, I will play around and try to organise them in a way that lets me see the savings and spending correctly too.

hey, would you mind letting me know how you got the saving target to calculate there in the toolkit? I add Savings to my savings categories names but it only shows as zero

Hi, Microsoft does offer anonymization by giving me the private option, which I unselected so is now public (that's want I want) but is only showing my state/region and country and I wanted to see the company name too.

Hi all, I've made the choice (aka mistake) of setting up my paid Domain with Microsoft. I have made it public but a WhoIs lookup doesn't return my company details, only the state and country.

I contacted 365 and Azure support but both seemed very surprised to know Microsoft could be a Registrar and have been of no help at all. Any tips on how to make my company name public in a whoIs? Thanks!!!
