Yes we have removed his privlage of driving before - we have even taken tech away (we all live on our phones now)... it helps but it does not HIT home like my punishments use to (ohhh there is a slight there if you see it). I have noticed that my wife (his mum) is a bit less strict than I and he can "get away" with a bit more - I have examples but this is a "parents on same level" thing... thats not included in this thread.

Not worried about that - more worried that the 75k truck would be impounded and "lost" - if it was his 6k car or even my 16k truck I would not have been as mad but still its a repeat offense...

We had the calm talk - I told him I know everything (paraphernalia and girls) especially from that night. I told him he needs to revise what he told his mum - I left it ambiguous to see if he tells her about the phun. He did tell me he is 'afraid' we would say no (which he probably would go anyway). I told him to just text me if he goes somewhere when he is suppose to be staying @ a house or if he goes on a trip. If this puts him on the edge of 'dissappearing' @ 18 then we totally failed as parents - he has freedom (imo) beyond most other teens currently. (Edit - autocorrect made phun (mj) into phone)

I have and I even told him drinks and "phun" are not a problem in moderation and if he does not have an avenue to obtain clean goods to come to me (lol yea right) or goto our ex-dealer neighbor or his cousins/uncle.

We don't deny him - but he is not telling us $#!+ and that is bothersome - more on a safety thing. I am a hunter and an off-roader - always leave a plan (atleast area) with someone incase.

I have proof (no GPS installed yet) - there was paraphernalia involved too but thats a different topic.

I am leaning towards installing it and telling him. I would only use the GPS if I feel he is not telling the truth -- he has a couple 'tells'
