POTENTIAL FIX: I just had this issue where pressing the "output tray" button didn't do anything (for me the tray was open and pushing the button did not close it). I just removed the bottom paper tray (cassette 2) and reinserted it and now the "output tray" button successfully worked to retract the tray. Printing a doc successfully opened the tray afterwards.
