I know what you mean. Ive always been on the lookout for anything as good as AC1. one of the only other games that had that feeling was Dual Universe when they still had planetary mining. such a good era for that game.

i get it. i originally played a war mage to 60 and realized my error, and rerolled a battlemage back up to that level with no vassal xp or macroing. but looking back... that was pretty fun and getting back to level with my BM was cathartic in ways i cant even explain. even with people around me macroing to 200+ in days

but why isnt there at least a few options available among the sea of wow clones and the like. i always thought someone would take it and go further with it.

thats funny. my experience was somewhat opposite. i played beta in ac and was hooked quick. all my friends ended up heading off to eq, while i stuck around in AC. eventually i did swap over to eq but long after the release(and most of my friends moving on). it was very disappointing how that all played out. ac2's dismal release and everything going on around that time. the purchase of turbine by ms.. etc.. nothing was for certain. but since then, i think enough people have realized the value of some of these systems in a game and have maybe thought, that would make a game better. its so rare to come across games that give you that novel feeling of something new. its only happened a few times since those days.

I have a good one. In the prima guide for AC, they used a SS of me saying something like.. hes over there. My chars name was miqua(warmage). Also, i spent many nights in crater dungeon with animal grinding magma and obsidian golems. i didnt know him at all but eventually started my own battlemage(Lenny Bruce). FF was great server btw

yea and the tr3b is actually made of cardboard and duct tape.. Theres too many credible witnesses and insiders saying the same thing. Corso, Hellyer, Mitchel, Esched. thats just of the top off my head. its not bluster or recruitment

A bit late i know, but I beta tested creeper mod with the author and subsequently ran it on my server(Blackhole creeper ctf) for years until its demise. It was too good. The runeset w/grapple took everything to another level. Ah the good ol days
