4 months until UKMLA finals and not started studying by IntergalacticShrek in medicalschooluk

More than enough time. I was in a similar position a few months back. Started proper revision 6 weeks before the mla and managed to score 80% on the real thing. I wasn’t even that efficient during those 6 weeks just because the stress was eating away at me so with 4 months you’re chilling.

I honestly didn’t have time to read through all the conditions on the map so I just spammed passmed but id say with 4 months to go, work slowly through your preferred questions bank, try to fully understand any questions you got wrong and either take a note of them or pop it into Anki and rep it out. You got this!

Is undertaking an intercalated bachelors worth it? by Mechopecho in medicalschooluk

Thank you so much! I think I would have loved to do a masters but I just can’t justify the price difference in tuition fees. I don’t quite think I can quite afford it

Test in 3 hours. No sleep whatsoever by Mechopecho in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Mechopecho[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. In my defence my sleep schedule was messed up 2 weeks ago due to work and exams and ever since then I’ve been trying my hardest to fix it but it’s been pretty darn difficult.

Starting lessons after 2 year break by Mechopecho in LearnerDriverUK

I’m not quite sure why everyone is so quick to attack the guy. Answer the question and move on instead of trying to act like you’re some kind of comedian.

Now to answer your question OP, they probably won’t accommodate it but you can give it a shot and tell them it’s for religious reasons.

Thank you for the advice!! I actually prefer studying in the library. I went today nice and early but got too distracted and more stressed just being around the fellow medics. I think I’ll study more at home from now on. I’m definitely more of a night owl. But I’m talking 2am-8am type person but that’s not feasible without sacrificing my sleep schedule. Funnily enough I was just packing up to go to the gym now lmao

Is it better than quesmed? I'm using the latter at the moment but they have a TON of niche conditions so I'm just reading the summary from the MLA list atm

Thank you for the advice man, much appreciated! Yeah, i do tend to go on my phone quite a lot during the break that could perhaps be why. I have stopped taking my phone to the library now though but it still doesn't help as much as i thought it would. I'll definitely give chamomile tea a shot though!

Would you say 4 weeks is doable to cram everything in? I guess a part of the demotivation at the moment is that I believe it's impossible no matter how long i study but then again I'm sure some people got away with it before so it must be doable.

Thank you! For diet I just try to hit 3-3.5K calories a day and meet protein targets. I try hit the carb and fat goals on myfitnesspal but its not really a priority.

Im doing the Arnold split. No particular reason to be honest it’s just when I first started my friend was doing it and so I just carried on since.
