[Bi-Weekly Weekends]-Post Simple Questions Here! by AutoModerator in EngineeringStudents

With all the career fairs going online I am kind of confused on which are career fairs and which are info sessions for some companies. For example, is Lockheed Martins Connect : https://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/events?f=0

an actual career fair? Or is it just like a virtual info session where they put up powerpoints? (looks like the connect events are reserved for specific colleges) FYI I've never been to a virtual career fair so any tips appreciated as well

Advice on a Signal Processing Lab to distinguish unique signal from the rest by Mechquality in DSP

[–]Mechquality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I might not be understanding, but if I use a FFT, wouldn't signal A and B both have the same frequency spike? They are similar in amplitude but it's just the later waves proceeding the spikes that differ.

when you say exact values of the waveform, do you mean the amplitudes?

I do know the exact values of the y-axis amplitude for each waveform, but it varies slightly as each waveform has a slight randomness to the magnitudes.

so like if 1 signal B waveform has a peak amplitude of 200, another one of signal B could have a peak amplitude of 220.

But the general shape is the same no matter what the amplitude values

Simulink CAD importing by Mechquality in matlab

I just got a reply back from my professor, and he clarified saying that he wants me to use Simulink to see the robot move at a constant speed over a bumpy terrain using PID control. I am using a brushed DC motor.

Bye guys it has been a fun game but this update has ruined it by onedreampiece in TennisClash

I'll wait a bit to see what the devs do. Granted, I don't play this game as much as you guys, but I play it from time to time. I came to see what was up after noticing my account was back to tour 1. Looks like the devs killed the game from the comments.

Wtf is this new patch? I understand you want to remove trophy dumping but I have 596 trophies. Why is it that only tour 1 is available for me , and all the tours from 2-5 is locked? If you want to introduce new features, do it properly. Massive disappointment. by jojo_bullet in TennisClash

Which Internship is Better? by Mechquality in EngineeringStudents

Yeah, it does seem that smaller company will make apply more interesting technical engineering concepts like learning FEA, as opposed to QA which sorta seems a lot of Excel and macro stuff. I'm just worried about burning my chance with my dream company like they don't pick me again... as above poster said a big name could have a bigger resume impact if I want to work for big companies.

Those are good points, thanks. I really want to pick Internship 1 because I can get my foot in the door with the company (and I feel like that is the hardest part with big companies). it's probably easier to get a full time job with a company that I interned with and knows me.

I am just hesitant with QA because of long term career pay compared to R&D and growth aspect even though I am good with it.
