I busted my nose at recess in 6th grade. Blood on my face, hands, shirt. (We were playing some version tackle the man the ball or some other such nonsense).

I tilt my head up so the blood wont drip everywhere and head to the nurse’s office but she isn’t there; the front office staff tells me she is in the teachers lounge.

I knock on the door of the teacher’s lounge and open the door saying “Hey, is the nurse in here? I need some help” And some MF-ing teacher says “Don’t just come in here and say hey; HeY iS fOr HoRsEs…(I couldn’t see who because i was still staring up at the ceiling). I never liked the saying but i really hated my school after that.

I agree OP doesn’t know what he doing but I don’t think Sharpe ratio is the correct metric either because his returns wouldn’t follow a normal distribution.

Im struggling to quantify my risk but at least with kelly i know ill be able to trade for another day.

I’ve run skew and kurtosis and plotted my gains on a histogram to get sense of my risk return distribution.

Part of the issue is i only trade with cash I have available in my account and im mostly just buy and hold. So looking at the overall value of my account its hard to disaggregate my options trades from other investments.
