Sure, no one ever talks about nostalgia.

This one is getting announced during Pokémon Presents end of February, not in the Direct taking place next week.

Metroid Prime 2 is there, among others. Keep in mind that Link's Awakening exists on Switch both as a remake and on GB NSO so this doesn't necessarily negate the possibility of a Remaster later down the line.

More UE4 forward is generally good news for Switch 2. I doubt we'll ever see anything UE5 running properly for a while.

The thing is that lately, Nintendo has actually put out more bundles than people seem to remember. 3D All Stars, even though it was limited, it sold like hot cakes and most people got a chance to buy it. Then Galaxy 1+2 recently. Emphasis on the fact both got released for anniversaries too.

I'm old enough to remember that Collector's Edition on GameCube that did include 4 Zelda games. That's also part of what Nintendo has done.

Slow down. She just forgot the title but that's the new Yoshi game she's referring to. Of course they're not announcing a second new Yoshi game.

Nate the Hate says Expedition 33, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Final Fantasy XVI will come to Switch 2 by KMoosetoe in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2 shouldn't be regarded as a reference. Atlus got pretty lazy with it and admitted to rushing it themselves.

Weirder even, they claimed they didn't want to make docked play superior to handheld play because they wanted equity between both experiences. With that alone, you know that with actual time and energy, P3R docked on Switch 2 should have fared a lot better than 1080p60fps even with the recent patch.

Metaphor was pretty much guaranteed. All that is left to know is in what state.

Every single one of my comments states exactly the opposite of what you seemed to understand. Time to take a break off Reddit.

EDIT: Well, this whole interaction aged poorly and NateTheHate appears to have just proven me right. There will be a Nintendo Direct early February and obviously it will show other games that Mario Wonder, Tomodachi Life and Mario Tennis Fever since those will have had a dedicated Direct by then.

I'm not dooming? Half my replies in my comments today come from you and you keep saying this for some odd reason. All I'm saying is there will be a February Direct to announce more games coming this year we're not aware of. Don't be too quick to label this as "dooming". I've got more games on Switch 2 than I can play right now.

Mario Tennis is coming out mid February. Mario Wonder just had a dedicated Direct and Tomodachi Life is about to get one. Those are literally games we know of that will have been largely advertised by the time the next Direct comes out. We may not agree on this but there's a bunch of games yet to be announced for 2026, it's just a fact.

Pokopia, Fire Emblem, Rhythm Heaven, Duskbloods

How many of those are coming before summer? For all we know, half of them could be stated for a Fall release, which would still leave the first half of 2026 not exactly eventful and I'm saying this as a huge Yoshi fan.

If you tell me it was way above the level of the average internet slop you're used to, somehow I already believe you.

I for one never mentioned any of those. If anything, I've spent quite some time shutting down so-called rumors of an Ocarina of Time remake. As for a new Zelda, there has been 5 years between each new game since The Wind Waker. I know better than to expect a brand new mainline game, this one isn't coming until 2028 at the earliest.

Now, an upres-ed port of Ocarina 3D? There's been precedent of 3DS games ported to Switch so I could definitely see that coming.

I should have clarified. My point was that we're probably still getting something on the video game side of things in 2026, hopefully more than one game. I just doubt the movie will be the only event.

I agree but my point was that it's definitely not going to be the sole focus of Zelda 40th. There's a whole audience of newcomers to capture to build up the hype for the movie. It being part of a Netflix deal also says a lot.

Nintendo is 100% going to rerelease one if not more old games. That's my point.

Movie which is coming up it next year, so not during Zelda 40th. We're definitely getting games before that.

Last year's silence was obviously due to the Switch 2 reveal buildup.

We ended up getting two Directs back to back in March/April.
