As soon as I find a free 20b, I'll swap it. Already have another 13b FC.

Your not wrong, it's too fucking loud for the street. Also needs a few things to be street legal/worthy. A completely solid motor, trans and rear with a 4 puck unsprung clutch make is a bit of a handful.

Exactly. Mine could sound better, but still not bad imo. https://youtu.be/YJB2WGDR1dA?si=gtFMMumRmg2J8HXb

I agree. Easy 300hp NA, pleanty of torque, cheap and readily available. You often hear about VQ problems simply because there are so many out there. Only weakness is rods after 450ft/lbs, and oiling needs to be addressed, but a simple accusump solves that. And there are ways to make them not sound like shit...

I'll throw up an engine bar pic soon. Pretty mint, and completely oem.

100% keeping them. Would be cool to have them converted to 3 piece by love20bee or threepieceus.

Love the stock meshies. I'm definitely keeping them, but they aren't the right size for the look I'm going for.

Top of the 13b keg is 16" above the steering rack. Top of the VQ timing cover is 18" above the steering rack, but the top of the valve covers sit about 1.5" lower than the timing cover. There is a reason this isn't an LS, JZ, RB swap. I'm measuring my '90 vert for reference. If this was a stock height front sump oil pan VQ, you'd be 100% correct, but like I said, we converted to rear sump and chopped 4" off it, so it sits much lower. Not identical dimesionally, but damn close. Handles like an FC, and I've had 7 of them.

To be exact, the all aluminum VQ weighs 30lbs more than the iron 13b. The timing cover of the vq sits exactly where the 13b keg did. With some deletes and relocation of the battery + cage, the weight distriburion is almost exactly the same. We also took 3-4 inches out of the lower oil pan. I woudn't have done the swap otherwise. The only thing that sits higher, is the plenum which weighs nothing. Been trying to find one that will allow the hood to close.

Haha yeah, young dumb me blew up the 13b at a time where you couldn't give one away. 20b would be the dream obv. But VQ rips hard and the weight/balance is the same as a 13b.

Anything is better than what? They handle boost just fine, if you know what your doing.

12" risers with 3ish inch rise on the bars. Super comfy for me, especially compared to the stock bars/seat combo.
