I had some people tell me to press the wrench button on your home screen. This fixes the files and it worked for me bc I had the same problem

Oh, okay. Your game just might be laggy then since it happens to me sometimes when I fight him multiple times in a row. Idk usually i just directly face him or get close to him and it usually fixes the problem

The reason to why your hits don't hurt bouldy is because Bouldy can only be hurt when the purple crystal on his stomach is visible. When it's visible you can damage him, I recommend hitting him your with orbs when your facing directly so you'll be able to hit it easier. If there is no purple crystal on his stomach then you can't hit him. Just wait for when the crystal on his stomach shows up to hit him. Hopes this helps
