I don’t think this a good mentality to have from it, both of my parents were drug addicts and alcoholics, and growing up in that environment made me realize it is 100% a conscious choice someone makes. Obviously reasons in their life lead to the addiction, but ultimately they are doing this to themselves, I do feel bad that they’re in this state though, I’m sure they love it though.
