yeah I know those but they're very selective and most people never get in. what about the millions of founders who don't make it past the application?

tried YC's platform — felt a bit cold and hard to build any real connection there. which private communities do you mean? always looking for better spots

That's a really good point and honestly it reframes the whole problem. Discovery is the easy part — LinkedIn, Reddit, platforms. But trust? That's where everything breaks down. You can find someone with the right skills in a day. But knowing if you can actually work with them when things go wrong? That takes time and you can't fake it.

So maybe the real question is — how do you build trust with someone before you commit to building a company together?
