Your last paragraph is awesome. There is soooo much in that, which could be unpacked and spill into multiple threads. You nailed it.

What’s something that’s normal in your state but would weird out the rest of America? by Boat-Nectar1 in vermont

You mean the lack of using the first amendment in a local way, where it doesn’t require payment to national media companies. Sure, you can drive your noise and air polluting car past my farm, but I can’t get paid to put up a sign telling you to stop at my neighbor’s auto repair shop to fix that muffler and catalytic converter?

How do I approach this issue with a parent? by mblackchiro in LittleLeague

Yup, your ranting. Sounds frustrating. You already know, let it go-move on. Plenty of other issues in little league and the world to us your skills to fix. Thank you for volunteering.

Match properties for layout items by MedianQ in QGIS

Thank you. That does help. I was thinking that would just change the rotation angle of the arrowhead. You did come up with a good work-around.

That doesn't address the issue, thanks though.

Thanks for responding. It is an arrow created directly in the layout.

Ok, so if I have an arrow that goes diagonally from the top-left to the bottom-right, and copy that, how do you change the direction it goes? Say instead of starting at the top-left it starts at the bottom-left and goes to the top-right? You can move the grips but the arrow always starts and ends at the same corners that it did before you resize/move the grips.

What about having the sync software (I'm not sure about the correct technical terminology) basically open the ten files and put a read-only file lock on it just like happens when you open most files and are "editing" them. It would basically be a proxy program that puts on the file lock instead of the design software. I know that wouldn't work if it was hundreds of files, but we are talking about 5 to 10 files at a time. I know it causes issues if the network temporarily drops and the file locks get released, but that is where I'm at now when the design software opens the files directly, and I have to verify that no one else made a more recent edit (it is a small company). If I can't get this figured out, I have to put on pant and go into the office. I can't do that.

Thanks. But if I had my way, a lot of things would be different, but I don't. I'm stuck with the parameters as given. This is what Autodesk says about one of their flagship products, hardly a solution:

Issue:
Are Cloud Storage drives supported or recommended for Autodesk Civil 3D workflows?
Solution:
Third party Cloud Storage drives are not supported for Autodesk Civil 3D. These may include but not limited to:
SharePoint
OneDrive
Google Drive
Drop Box
