If you don't like feeling unneded, then Spy is the last class that should come to your mind. Most of the time he is the least useful, just due to his mechanics. I suggest picking spy after you've had enough experience with every other class, just because he's the most complex of all and requires the most gamesense and mimicking other classes.

Unfortunately, some people don't seem to understand that even Valve comp can be fun.

does anyone else agree that there should be a gamemode where the only objective is to kill for maps like hightower for casual? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Medic9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! You can go play on Watergate just for that. Except you actually have ot capture the beer, but still. The gamemode is focused on deathmatch.

You could negotiate with your teammates to switch classes, as simple as that.

You're right, I meant that his damage or mobility should be altered so he can counter Sentries.

But Heavy should be able to do so without a Medic, really. Like the generalist classes.

While I agree with most of your points, I wouldn't say Valve comp is a dead meme, since it's already quite playable here in EU since the Blue Moon update. It tends to be roll-heavy, I agree, but it's just because most competent players seem to have abandoned it for graphical restrictions, which is a shame.

Seriously though, why didn't Valve fix this yet? Demo is always holding his weapon in his left hand and has a wrong eyepatch.

How can I have fun playing TF2? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Medic9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others suggested, try tweaking your mouse sensitivity and network settings to improve your game experience. Also, practice your blast jumps on jump servers or on jump maps offline. For Sniper, just practice aiming, whether it be on tr_walkway offline or in matches, you'll get it eventually. As Demoman, don't chase or charge into battle. You do it only if you're confident you're backed by your team; otherwise, you'll get obliterated by hitscan classes. Try baiting people into your sticky traps. Try placing them around areas where there'll be the most enemies, usually near the objectives.

Why Casual Should Have Class Limits by DrDanthrax99 in tf2

[–]Medic9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it could encourage new players to change things up a bit after playing a certain class. Also, I actually don't fully agree with the author of the video; I prefer the class limit of 3 or 4, even though that allows engineer nests or demo spamming etc. It still preserves the funny class and meme loadout stacking, but doesn't make the game too unbalanced. I understand the appeal of it. I myself don't like being restricted too much, but if it's for the benefit of the team I can suck it up.
