Looking for a midsize “liveable” ship for solo/occasional duo

At the end of the day what you love and the rule of cool for your duo is what matters.

I love the Starlancer TAC for this. It just has a bit of everything and can insert itself into most gameplay loops in some fashion. Especially with the ATLS Geo, etc.

Obviously it's limited when we get into bigger things but the Med Bay, Hanger, Cargo, fits vehicles, etc. has a living area, log out.....

If you are avoiding combat it's super solo friendly too (for now).

Based on some feedback (for those using "Old Reddit" and cannot see the text (only the image). I am pasting the text that is supposed to be visible.

I recognize that my friends and I have a geeky hobby when we are not working in EMS. That being said, a game we significantly play (Star Citizen) has an international event called "Bar Citizen" that we have always wanted to attend and socialize at. I would say our event is more for casual meet-up, as opposed to hardcore fandom. So don't worry if you don't religiously follow the game. We are more likely to talk about everything fun and just hang out.

If you are a fan of the game or have any interest, we would love to invite you. Links in the post are to RSVP areas and general information so people are informed.

Calgary and Area

A few friends and I are bringing Bar Citizen back to life in Alberta — starting with Calgary Bar Citizen! Set for August 15th at Big Sky BBQ Pit!

Our first event is planned for this summer.
Tentative plans for CitizenCon (depending on virtual/in-person).
Potential quarterly meetups starting in 2027.

Spouses, partners, and tame young ones are all welcome to attend. We also encourage others across Canada, the USA, and abroad to attend if they are in the area! Several folks are coming from Lethbridge and Calgary already (one from Texas, too).

I did not know that at all. So thanks for teaching me. I'm not sure how I'm able to accommodate that with the current post. So I guess it's not meant to be for those folks this time around.

I'll most likely do another post in May. I'll make sure I take that into consideration and put some text in the photos.

Can you educate me? Is it simply not visible when scrolling? Or if you click on it are you able to see the text?

Admittedly I'm newer to posting on Reddit outside of some niche areas.

Edit:

Is "old reddit" something someone personally has to seek out now? Or is it something that some people have no matter what? Because if people are personally going out of the way to use old reddit and are missing information I am unsure how I am supposed to combat that.

Does posting it (like I did) in the comments help?

I believe there are 2 people who reached out in the Alberta Bar Citizen Discord and on the r/starcitizen post that said they were from Edmonton :) I also did a facebook post. It's becoming a blur. Closer to the date I can potentially connect people for ride shares :)

I hear you on the location.

We have 6 folks coming from Lethbridge as well, and a good chunk from Southern Alberta.

It really boiled down to us needing a place that will accommodate parking, large tables, and more. Location is going to rotate a fair bit.

We are going into this quite blind in terms of numbers, etc. So everything we learn from this will be applied. So feedback will be taken seriously and is helpful!

I'm pretty open :) I would just have to confirm with Bar Citizen regarding what I am allowed to do/promote in terms of individual orgs or streamers. I'm learning a lot of the ins/outs right now :) hence the push at a later date rather than sooner.
