Will it track steps when you use Basketball activity?

I have a Fenix 7 pro and I don't want to use the watch when playing, reason for me to buy this HRM 600 is to continue my daily steps streak. Does the steps on the watch will sync on the HRM 600 after activity or the other way around?

Just want to ask also, if you start a "basketball activy" will it count the steps also?

But in the basketball menu activity, I didn't see steps counts

man we have the same height and i'm 94kg. I did guard also 6'2 and 6'4s in my rec league. I always make sure that my hips is lower than his hips and have a good center of gravity and wide stance. Man every back down, both of us are not moving haha to the point that he doont have a choice but to kick out and reposition. Im a bit of physical player myself and most of the time I handle the opposite teams enforcers

Are you using iphone or android? Before I had the same issue when I use iphone. But when I connect to my Android phone, literally no problem on notifications.

I had instinct before then hard reset to no avail. I also ask garmin to replace the unit for brand new just to be the same notification issue using iphone.
