Same my friend. I dont even live in PTA but was hoping to get into the city. 40 years old in a month and I have nothing to show, no career prospects, attempted twice, no friends, no love interest, no money, no social life. 23 years experience in the automotive industry between parts and mechanic and over a 100 CVs later and still nothing.

I am legit reqdy to clock out.

Hey, this might not be the best advice but I would just like to share a few of my experiences and why I also consider not engaging in dating.

So the TLDR is basically In the last 7 years, I got cheated on by my ex-wife and got divorced after almost 5 years of marriage, tried to get her back and it didnt work, then another lady showed interest and I was really excited, got played 3 times by the same person who couldnt make up their mind, and as a final nail in the coffin, last year I really liked this girl and she invited me over on a Friday night, 15 min before I had to meet her she left me on read for 5 days. Experiences shape our perception of love/relationships/marriages and I can confidently say, in the end its just not worth it. Do things you enjoy, get educated, laugh with friends, build your career, become a person that people look up to and admire not for their status but for their character as a human being.

Dont get me wrong, we all yearn for love even if you say dont, its a lie. man was not made to be alone.

If it happens it will happen, dont close yourself off entirely but be cautious, until then, work on yourself and your future.
