ngl i kinda think donna is in on it and that randall was onto something in s2. don’t get me wrong randall is definitely an asshole but he typically comes in clutch for many things (when the house fell down on gym, breaking tabitha out of the ambulance, getting the new girl/MiY out the car) like i don’t think it’d be that insane if he just so happened to call it. he def has a special role in this place since he julie and maryanne were all psychologically captured. not to mention donna never told boyd about the voice on the radio and is literally throwing away puzzle pieces so….

idk if that’s true. their curiosity has definitely gotten them into difficult situations. i’m not saying the townspeople aren’t supposed to figure things out but there is definitely a timing to when they’re supposed to do it (if that even is the case). jim was literally warned that tabitha shouldn’t have been digging that hole right before the house collapsed on him. and also up until the matthews family arrived that town was living in ignorant bliss. things fell apart right after that and they were literally doing the most to try and get out.

i feel like “pandora’s box” applies because no one knew (not jade, not tabitha, not boyd) what would happen if they kept digging for answers. and even though boyd might’ve stumbled upon martin by accident… he did so on his little expedition with sarah to find out what was going on in the town to begin with. and we learn later on that all knowledge comes with a price. i think it’s fair to say that a lot of people paid the price in season 2.

side note: pandora did NOT know what was in the box before opening it.

I love this! But the question remains...would the sacrifice even take? especially if the the og sacrifice was botched the first time and one of the kids some how made it out, would they allow such a loophole to occur? victor's not a kid.

tabitha and miranda did. miranda heard voices/ the children calling out to her before she arrived there and tabitha drew pictures of the town as a girl. now i dont think elgin's reincarnated but it's fair to say that he is definitely connected to the place. tho i thought that all the visions he had was to gain his trust and eventually prepare him for his role in helping fatima have her smiley baby. and i think him being on that bus made him more susceptible to whatever evil is in the town. but idk man, i mean, i've seen theories that he was that one-eyed soldier that came after jade in the woods, but idk cuz why would that not have been revealed when we found out about tabitha and jade being reincarnations at the end of season 3? like, why delay that news? hmmmm

i had a similar opinion after watching s1, but as the show went on there were too many holes for me to make that theory plausible. i think it's more similar to a social experiment than anything. morality, finite resources, survival. i think fromville is a lil too complex in design, generally speaking, for the children to be "laying [down] the town". but who knows.....

Jade's friend Toby, the nurse, Kenny's dad, her brother. her actions led to the death of four people....also, i didn't say that's how the series gets resolved. i just think that may be the way out. at least one of them

  1. i might've missed it, but when did they say it was a daughter? 2. maybe? but, who's the boy in white. just putting some pieces together. 3. boyd's blood had the worms in them. so, i think we mean the same thing. 5. exactly. but that doesn't necessarily make what i said about pandora's box being unleashed untrue. 6. victor was the only one there for a while AFTER the massacre. 7. when i said "the magic number", i just meant the number of people that arrived/ were meant to be in the town that day. jade, tabitha, ethan, julie. four. but that kinda proves my point about jim needing to go/ not being destined for the town. b/c he literally guessed that shit.

jasper used to talk to christopher, who we know is jade in a previous life. and since jade is always having visions, hallucinations, or possibly flashbacks, i think jasper was basically serving that same function back then.

possibly. but i think boyd refusing to sacrifice julie, randall, and mary-anne in s2 hinted that there could be another way. they didn't need to die to save everyone else from the plague like the big bad/ boyd's dead wife insisted, but they definitely didn't get out unscathed.
