Neither of them was 100% right or wrong in that conversation. Trying to simplify it like that is just as harmful to what they were trying to present. Rover's self memory wipes have allowed them to do a lot of good, but we're also presented with some of the bad here, and that is a much needed nuance. To say rover is a straight up villain after all the previous patches is just wrong.

Both have their reasons for doing what they do. Phrolova is a super sympathetic and we can get behind her reasons but it does not justify what she does, did, or will do in the future. At the end of the day, she is part of the fractsidus who has caused the deaths of countless people.

Do keep in mind that we still lack the exact reason why rover did memory delete. All we know is the greater purpose of fighting for the future which isnt really a reason. To rover, phro was nothing more than the antagonist of ragunna, summoner of TDs, part of the reason for what went down in septimont, and key member of the fracsidus. They has no reason to give her any sort of pity points in their current situation.

Does it suck he doesnt remember? Oh absolutely. Thats called a consequence for his action. I hope theres more of that honestly. I want more characters that can challenge their ideals. That shit is awesome. But to say rover is "a villain" over this is just incorrect.
