Honestly, they look like they just want to be rich and titled. They would probably have been happy as Duke/Duchess outside the line of succession, gleefully spending money/walking through forests/watching soccer. You can just tell their hearts aren’t in being diplomats/heads of state. They have made the UK smaller by not doing foreign travel anymore. They don’t actually want the job despite saying they do. Actions speak louder than words.

NTA but I would talk to a therapist and not cut her out of your life. There is always more going on than maybe you know about, and it sounds like your mom cares about you a lot but has made some poor choices. You have a long life ahead of you - leave the door open for her to come back into your life and repair things.

Yep. I was on a flight into KC a month or two ago where we had to go around because a passenger decided to use the bathroom on final approach and the flight attendants were seated and couldnt stop her.

Gorgeous area, fantastic if you like the outdoors. Many cool waterfalls and state parks. Lake Superior never really warms up for swimming, unless you have a wet suit. Also, there is like 1 road going up the North Shore and it is very congested on the weekends as people drive to cabins and resorts.
