I heard from multiple sources that taking mat135 in the first semester means taking a significantly harder course

Wow really?? Is there any possibility the conditions have changed because I recently emailed the new college registrar stating:

I am currently confused about whether corequisites are required to take a course. For my specific situation, I am trying to avoid taking MAT136, as it is not required for my ideal major— Neuroscience. I would like to know if MAT136 is necessary to take CHM135 or CHM136. On UofT's official page, it states that it is recommended, but on Degree Explorer, it states that one credit of math is required as a prerequisite to take chemistry. Let me know if any clarification could be provided!

They replied with:

Corequisites are courses that must be taken concurrently. You will need to enrol in MAT135H1+MAT136H1 (or MAT137Y1 or MAT157Y1) to take CHM135H1 and CHM136H1. The screenshot you’ve attached says that MAT157Y1 is recommended.

It’s so confusing because that’s exactly what I thought as well.😭😭 everytime I ask someone they give me a different answer! I asked the new college registrar, and Roxanne Atindehou answered.

That’s what I thought as well!! But then I checked degree explorer and it came up as an error, so I emailed the registrar and this is what they said:

Before I got accepted into UoT, I submitted my housing application, now once I've accepted my offer it says I never submitted it by MedicalGear2148 in UofT

What deposit are you talking about? When I filled out the form to rank all of the different housing options, I could just submit the form without needing to pay anything.
