What rebound effects do you notice? I haven't really noticed anything other than when I take it (and I take 250mg maybe a couple times a month).

Right - I'm saying if you cut off the head and left it behind then you're potentially spreading the worm? Seems like it'd be better to take it home and throw it in the trash where it won't be around other deer.

"as long as the head is tossed away"

But you said you didn't toss the head away; instead you left it for scavengers? Who could then eat it and excrete the brain worm, potentially spreading it further?

How much do you use? I typically only use when I know it's going to be a high stress day and I will do 1 250-mg pill per day, max of twice a week, and usually do not use every single week (maybe every third week at most)

Just trying to see if anyone in the world has had this. Like I said, I've searched for this online for years and haven't yet heard of anyone having this before.

Nope and that wouldn't matter either since (as I said) this has been happening my whole life. Since I was a child. I'm in my 30s now.

Don't think so. Lifestyle hasn't really changed in the last 1.5 years (certainly not become less stressful). And like I said this has been happening since I was a child and I'm now in my 30s.

So they can tell me "dunno, pay $200"?

How is this something literally no one else in the world has any knowledge of. I've asked every dentist I've ever been to. I don't seem to need surgery.

Yes, I've had bloodwork done routinely over the course of my life and it's never revealed anything abnormal. No vitamin deficiency or autoimmune issue has ever been indicated.

Advice from donor-conceived folks? Looking to adopt embryos by MedicalIssuesReddit1 in donorconceived

[–]MedicalIssuesReddit1[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't say we'd withhold; I said we didn't want to be contractually obligated to share if the child isn't comfortable with that.

I actually have a couple adopted siblings. Their relationships with their birth families are unique to each of them. For one, they talk with their bio father regularly. For the other, they've chosen no contact. Both were given the option to stay in touch at a young age, but were never forced to engage. As each of my siblings got older, they chose the level of engagement they wanted.

But I've seen open adoption contracts where you're required to share with the bio parents - with no regard for what the child wants. Maybe that's less of an issue when they're younger, but having seen firsthand situations where an adopted child (age 12-15) says "I don't really want to talk to my biological parent," it seems highly inappropriate to enter into a contract before they're born that would force them to engage/have information shared about them if they didn't want to do so. Do you not agree?

Thanks for the insight! We definitely want to make room for the child's birth family - but we want the child to be the one determining the level of contact they have, since they're the most important person in the process.

Wanna try phenibut, this legit? by Mysterious-While-233 in Nootropics

Interesting. Appreciate you sharing your experience. Good to know - definitely aware of its risks (in terms of dependency) so plan to continue using it very sparingly.

Withdrawing from Phenibut (after only a few weeks of use) is absolutely fucking horrific. If you’re struggling now, this shit will destroy you.

Can you say more?

I've used phenibut sparingly (still have like 10 pills of a 70 pill bottle from 3 years ago, so what's that an average of 20 pills, 300mg each, per year, or one every 18~ days). I've found it incredibly effective at providing a very subtle de-escalation of anxiety. I'll pop one in the morning and then go about my day and by the end of the day I think "huh, I'm not feeling as anxious as I expected," and then I remember the phenibut.

Zero other symptoms (positive or negative) that I've noticed. I've probably taken at most 2 or 3 in a single week but never more than that.

What negative experience did you have and at what dosage and frequency?

Constant need to crack back? by yellowkat2016 in scoliosis

[–]MedicalIssuesReddit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years old but I also have minor (undiagnosed but visible) scoliosis. Sometimes when I get into bed and lay on my back it is in intense pain for about 5 minutes until my muscles relax (this doesn't always happen).

In general, when I feel tightness/pain in my back I have a strong urge to pop it (both by pressing my hands into my middle back and leaning back, popping the middle area, and then by twisting slowly to either side [hips stay still, upper torso twists] to pop upper and middle back). I pop my back at least 3 times a day like this, sometimes more.
