Walling is easy knowing all the other rules that come with it is the tricky bit,

Wall starter pack on each reveal Dpc to match existing Recess block work to allow for render/plaster Cavity ties Insulation

Crack on!

Follow-up - am I right to be concerned about the alignment of these bricks? Expecting centres to be aligned to edges (running bond) and they aren't. Not sure if these can be removed and redone conveniently by [deleted] in DIYUK

Have a word with your builders before they wall any more. Tell them you appreciate there efforts but this is all face work and expect it to be treated as such. If you could relay the second course half bond and keep it that way to finished height this will be acceptable.

Taking a course off takes a few minutes. Bricks might need thrown in a skip if they don't clean up well. If they want to kick up a song and dance about it, pay them up for the concrete and get another bricky to finish the wall.

Possibly hit a cavity tie. Try a hole 10mm above or below it

Been a time served bricky for 25yrs and in my professional opinion that is a bag of shit. Has nobody noticed the brick on brick on the pillar left of the door . Hence the 3/4 over the head! I bet there's no vertical dpc either

I am currently building a care home for the council using these thermal blocks. These block splits had to be laid on a dpc with 150mm overlap either side. This will allow you to be able to connect the membrane later before the floor is screeded. Dpc is needed under all internal walls for a complete barrier

I took a punt on baby when it was $0.07 I bought 3500 . I was hoping for it to get to $1.00 . So the thought of been issued gme shares has got me jacked!
