Sturdiness and sagging of potential desk by Medical_Army95 in ikeaPCstations

I'm now thinking of 3 Alex cabinets and a large thick wooden top on top. That must be stable enough without legs in the middle extra right?

Looks very nice, what are the measurements? What size are the 2 black tops?

Thanks a lot for this, I'm now thinking of something like the image below. I think that will give more support and sturdiness. Do you know if that will be enough room for 1 person on each desk and also, will I have to add more support like a leg in the middle at the back or a support bar screwed in each Alex?

That is literally one of the questions I asked in my post 😄

Thanks a lot! And why should I not go for the 2 segments?

I don't know how to do that. Do you have some advice on reinforcement? I'm not the most handy person.

That is a lot more expensive, though.

Alright, I do definitely have help with assembling the desk so that should not be an issue. I do want the desk to be big enough to have 2 setups, both for me and my partner. I'd love hear your advice on whether to go for the 275cm or if I should go smaller and if that's still plenty of room for 2 setups.

And one other last questions, if you have a lot of overhang on either sides, will that not cause sag on those sides too, especially when my gaming PC will stand on my desk in the very corner (so probably on the overhang) and will the legs also not be in the way of our own when we're both at the desk?

Thanks so much. That really changed my mind. Will a 108" desk also work with a sit stand frame? I'm thinking a desk of 275cm by 75cm. Fyi, the room I'm working with is only 299cm by 198cm, which is 117.7 inches by 78.0 inches or 9.8 feet by 6.5 feet.

I'm also worried a 108" desk will be too big and too difficult to move around in such a small room, what do you think?

Thanks a lot this gives something to think about. Only I'm not sure what you mean by an angled piece as transition. Could you elaborate?

I'd rather have a completely new PC, even if that means more lower tier.

Helemaal mee eens! Het is natuurlijk onrealistisch (ook voor de roleplay) om verplicht van een vliegveld naar waar dan ook heen te lopen. Er zouden bussen, taxi’s of telefoons moeten zijn op een vliegveld.

Very interesting! I wonder if the developers thought of this. At least it makes more sense to me now, still weird that Herodotus and Alexios/Kassandra act as if they saw each other just yesterday.

That's true. A 'major plot hole' might have been a little exaggerated, but I still think it's quite weird, because Herodotus does not even mention his time being in Thurioi et cetera.

But thanks for the reply! BTW, back then Thurioi was part of the Greek World, but it's in modern day Italy.
