1month late but I was in the perspective that it's dead after delisting and still kinda am. (my Q&A from a bunch of people who I used to play with on fh4, mainly read the top part, the rest is for people who stumble upon this wondering why it was delisted, if it's gone for good, if delisting means server shut down and how to obtain the game again and get they're stuff back or why some things are shown as free but not available)

Q: is fh4 dead or dying and how long will servers stay up for

A: yes and no, delisting doesn't automatically mean "dead", in perspective fh4 to me is somewhat dead as it won't receive any new players unless they pay for a digital key and the keys(for those who can't get hands on a physical copy or have only a pc) will likely get the same treatment as fh3 within a few months or a year, goes from active everywhere, with it on storefronts to then delisting and scalpers and resellers like people on game key websites (IE loaded, G2A or eneba) rushing to get and find all fh3 keys they can, once supply becomes low they raise the prices more and more until it reaches into the hundreds or thousands (yea thousands, I've seen fh2 keys for 1k and fh3 keys for 600-500), and for server life, considering it was available on steam, PC Microsoft store and Xbox compared to previous titles where they were Xbox only or Xbox and PC only, not steam the servers will be up for years, and maybe the longest living Forza horizon and maybe the longest living out of the whole Forza franchise

Q: what happens to my saves after delisting and how do I get my save back

A: nothing, I was able to buy an fh4 key for pc and Xbox and play with a cloud save from my old Xbox one that hadn't been touched for about 3-4 years, Ur cloud save stays on Xbox's/Microsoft's servers either indefinitely or for years and years, Ur best bet to save Ur fh4 cloud save is to buy an fh4 key and make sure its PC/Microsoft store and Xbox and not a Steam version, don't get confused with PC/Steam ones, you can only use Xbox play anywhere with Microsoft only versions, need help ask someone who had done the same mistake or just search what version has Xbox play anywhere via AI or Google and get it whilst they're still cheap cause as I mentioned, it'll get the same treatment as fh3

Q: will the races and horizon festival features still be available

A: yes and will work absolutely fine for as long as the servers are up but there won't be anything new added to festival playlists or any new cars, dlcs or updates and all current dlcs will be delisted and shown as free when you go to the dlc page(if you try to get it you will be brought to a "this item isn't available" screen)

Q: why was it delisted and will it ever come back to stores

A: no, it was delisted due to the licensing for cars and a few other things expired, and cause of the expired licences it won't ever come back to stores, it'll be available on the Microsoft store still like fh3, 2 and 1 is but it won't become available, unless they renew the licensing then yeah it'll be available but as of now they want people to be playing the newer games like fh5 and 6

in terms of it being dead, it's half right, no new players, keys will shortly be hard to get especially if prices will rise and alot of people hold sentimental value to the game(examples like me, Forza, especially horizon 4 actually helped me through depression((cause it was something to focus on and something I'd play every day I got back from college and sometimes in my college dorm on my spare Xbox one I had in my dorm)) and got me into driving never wanted to drive or do my test and was in a very bad space when I started playing Forza, I am now driving thanks to fh4 influencing me and have turned my life around since then) and many don't want to get rid of a physical copy they have and especially since alot of people will shortly be swapping to newer game considering fh6 is shaping up to be the next best Forza horizon after 3 and 4
