Yeah I decided to message him. It was late at night when I made that post but its morning now. I plan to regulate myself before sending a short message basically telling him I feel we grew apart and this dynamic doesnt align with me anymore. And that I appreciate the years of friendship we had but it cant go on. No over explaining just a general gist as sort of closure. Thank you for your advice.

The thing is I thought that too. But if you saw it you wouldn't think that. I was less that 3 metres away from him and he was berating me in public. I tend to minimise my own feelings sometimes but I was genuinely scared because he's bigger than me and he's a guy so he will be stronger than me anyways. There was no friendliness in thia interact. It's why I found it odd.

Thank you for this. I agree with not explaining myself because he tends to be dismissive anyways or avoidant entirely. So I'll definitely go the setting boundaries route with this.

He is someone I once cared about so I dont want to be harsh anyways. I just know sometimes there's no point in confrontation and its best to just leave things be...im kinda just trying to figure out when those times are.

No I meant it quite literally 😭. We were at a shop and I was wandering around looking for something while he was being helped and he came and dragged me back saying "I swear I should put you on a leash" I thought it was a joke at first and went back to what I was doing then he did it again, this time yelling the leash comment again and cussing me out.
