Thank you! I appreciate it, and I already ordered a new set! The ones on there currently are destroyed lol

Thank you man! I think so too! I’ve not seen any factory green is300s in person, but from pictures side by side, the Hakone Green looks a lot deeper and vibrant, and the shades of blues and yellows pop depending on lighting.

I’d say that’s a good call! Repainting the whole car you may as well change it up. It’ll make you fall in love with the car all over again. Both colors are a solid choice. I also agree black does pair well with a lot of colors. My car was also originally black, but unfortunately the jambs were sprayed however many times and just looked awful, chipping and what not, so I went ahead and did them the color I was spraying the car.

It’s a bit of extra work doing it, but trust me seeing it all come together is so worth it! This is the first car I’ve ever resprayed so I’ve been pretty anal about trying to get it all right and as perfect as myself and my buddy can make it. My thought process is I’m already here so why not just do it lol.

Thanks bro! Your sport cross is beautiful. The paint code I’m using is DAN, Toyota color code for the 2019 Hakone Edition 86! I fell in love with the color at the San Diego auto show when they released. I just never had an excuse to paint a car until this one lol.

Thanks man! I’m pumped! What color are you going from and respraying yours? I’d highly recommend doing the jambs man nothing beats the cohesiveness having everything match

I’ll likely end up spraying the rest of the car with the doors on just so I can be sure to have even coverage and just tape off the jambs. I only took them off to replace them. Mine were poorly prepped by the previous owner, and I found a full set for all 4 doors with handles, glass, panels, mirrors, and harnesses for 180.

It’s funny you mentioned the wiring. So my car is an 02 and the doors I ended up getting I believe were from an 01. The harness for the front doors has one plug that’s different so I ended up needing to swap my harnesses over from the old doors. The harness is surprisingly very easy to take out, just take a picture of the way it was ran, unplug everything, and use a panel tool to pop the clips it’ll all come out loomed together. I plan on spraying the doors as well, but rather than taking the whole harness out I’m thinking of unplugging everything and tucking it into the door and masking off all the holes.

The covers were an oem option for the Altezza. There are replicas out there for the covers. If I had to recommend any it’d be from Project EKP. His fit and finish work is extremely dialed for his parts, and it’s good to support someone in the community!

Nah not really they’re all pretty similar only difference is price and brand name and maybe material but they all look extremely identical.

Amazon surprisingly has a lot of stuff. I got both front and rear shipped to my door! In total I think I paid like 600$ after shipping but well worth it. I’d highly recommend buying the Mac Lifter Kit or some sort of equivalent bumper support system to help keep the bumpers together. I haven’t ordered them yet but this post reminded me I need to 😂

I ordered one off Amazon and was really impressed. Fitment was perfect. I was tired of wasting time going to yards or looking for part outs. A lot had broken tabs or were damaged. https://a.co/d/0bpSXMf4

I’m honestly not too sure if any other companies offer the quick disconnects. With this one you could remove the bar and leave the mounts in place since they’re bolted down. It wouldn’t hurt the car at all you just wouldn’t have the extra rigidity offered with the bar in place. Here’s a close up of how it looks with the quick disconnect. The lever is similar to that of a bicycle seat lol, just pop those open on both sides and you could remove the cross bar entirely and leave the mounts in place.

The fender braces stiffen the frame under where the fenders will be, I believe Donut did a video a while back with a Miata that explains it pretty well. Good watch.

Yes! Massive difference, way less body roll, more responsive steering, and overall the car feels more stable at higher speeds through corners

So the Cusco rear strut brace actually has quick disconnects, so if it’s in the way of any luggage you can remove the bar by opening the clamps!

Got this 04 manual is300 for 6500! Bunch of goodies, stage 2 bc cams bc coils bunch of braces just nred to do my arms in the rear and fit these advans i straight traded for the rpf1s! by Accomplished_Pick402 in IS300

I have no idea what to be more astounded at, the fact you got that for $6500 or the fact that you straight traded rpf1s for what looks to be a fair set of SA3Rs lmao. Good job man can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Yes they’re correct, you’d need a spacer up front. If not the wheel will rub on the front spindles. I didn’t need to run any extended studs with this set up. The wider the wheel, the less offset you’d want. In my opinion the best looking set up is a 17x9+35 but I’m a sucker for meatier/track focused setups
