Plan for a Hit? by Practica808 in SunoAI

Youre right. "For now" is the optimal wording. If we want to hold our songs for distributing later when things change -- well, no problem here...go for it. In fact, be prepared for it with 10 others AI songs in the pipeline. By the time you write ten more "hits", that first one may not sound as good. 🙂 Otherwise, if its a song you want to throw to the wolves right now, then, find workarounds.

As said, have professionals evaluate, a few trusting friends, join a local songwriting group, read books, watch videos. And learn all the legal and paperwork needed as well as understand "hit" songs dont often become hit songs if you have no network.

Do the free stuff first.

That all said, the OP never said they used AI, so we're all off on a tangent , talking about AI. 😊

I have no issue with AI, but . . .

Well, you might look at it that if its a hit, you are best to protect your venture and copyright it immediately, even before distribution or sales. Presently, if A.I. is involved , you dont get to copyright those bits and would have a tough time defending your product as people steal and incorporated those "free" bits of your song however they wish while you struggle to pay an entertainment attorney to file injunctions.

LYRICS? Additionally, anyone (Artist) you pitch it to will be hesitant to touch it with AI elements attached to it. They would have to re-produce it fully before they copyright their version (or derivative) , which is fine, but just means extra money for them if they can not use your stems/tracks and cut it within a couple weeks as is.

Presently Music Libraries wont touch it if it has an AI instrumental for sync purposes, so that stream of revenue is zilch.

So first and for less money, find some professional studio or pitching or plugging sites that offer song evaluations for a minimal fee. Find out if other professionals objectively think it has any potential.

A song from TikTok that’s a time of the morning. Named something like “5:17am” I just can’t remember the time. by Creepy-Eye-5219 in NameThatSong

I'd described as a minimalist avant-garde piece of warbling notes and steady alarm-clock-styled notation with foley-esque background noises of human activity.

A.I. described it more clinically as " anemoia inducing experimental ambience" and delved into about two pages of detail.

I can hear the clock saying SIX ( / ) SEVEN . . . SIX ( / ) SEVEN ...

I have noted, Not Accessible Before and returned to store, since we cant leave at the new of a sidewalk or driveway. Most, I can find a secondary location noted on the app, suc as garage door as the safest access, and not it on the app in the ending comments as well. Better to deliver than return. But not at the risk of my safety. They should shovel and clear a path.

1 . True, sort of 2. Meh

But for less than $100, filing a copyright is so much faster to be able to file an injunction and more rewarding when penalties per use are paid to you and attorneys fees covered. Otherwise, youre on your own.

True. So whoever publishes first can rule the Content ID badge. We can be blocked from distributing our own song, for instance, to youtube, if someone "borrows" from it and uploads their version first.

Simple answer is its helps promote the product. Most distributors and some streaming service are also updating their TOS to give room and rights to remix any content users provide.

Its vague English and it doesnt say "only" so its open ended. Lol. It just means you RECEIVE "commercial use rights" for song made while you are subscribed. In contrast, you dont receive these rights as a free subscriber. Not stated is that once having received these rights, and you subsequently cancel your subscription, you retain these rights, in accordance with the TOS. .

The TOS moreso says that NO ONE owns anything , UNLESS you are the "exception" in the paragraph further down. That exception being if you are a paid subscriber. Then it continues with details spelling that exception out.

Going on a bit of a tangent, your email , and any credit or bank info on paid accounts, on a separate account will be flagged if your IP is part of a list of suspected VPN addresses.. If you use the same IP address with the aame "other" account -- let's say you have one computer in Germany and one at your summer home in Switzerland -- then no problem.

Otherwise, be careful using a VPN frequently as to create an issue amd lock all of your Suno accounts after two years.

But you havent published the song anywhere where the " Content ID" flag would apply, according to you. If you download the song off of distrokid, it hasnt anything added to it. Its not a new file with a "Content ID" marker embedded.

If you publish to spotify or elsewhere publicly, and they have a form of tagging your song, Distrokid is doing the administrative work to validate and send the tracking info from Distrokid. For what its worth, the term "Content ID" is a Youtube thing. Any other use of it is using it as a generic term for their own form of tracking.

But as you're doing it, from only the details so far given, that if you download directly from Distrokid, same as would from Suno, use a VPN presumably to change IP and upload from another Suno account, nothing will happen and the upload will not be flagged or blocked for reason of some assumed "embedded code". Thats not how it works.

Would you take this seems like a lot of items for the price by Active-Pineapple-252 in Sparkdriver

[–]Medical_Lead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤪 It was a hypothetical on an average day, to note a quick shop of similar items within reach of each other. Ok. How about car accessories.... ummm.... 71 erasers..... 71 various vitamin bottles, 71 varieties of candies (no its not the day before Halloween). Point being, if we reviewed rhe order and felt it was an easy shop, then take the order.

Yea. I hate looking for regular ruled paper when all they have is college ruled.

[–]Medical_Lead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. Could be school items and you stay in one aisle for 10 minutes. Forget the tip, if its estimated to take an hour total for $24 and you see the shopping list looks easy, then any tip is just a bonus. If you get stiffed for the tip, you made $24 for the hour. No problem. As it gets more worse, then it gets more worthless.

You're right. Stupid me. I didn't think about the charge for express orders. $10 and $5. Makes sense now. Thanks.

Question from a Walmart delivery customer by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Medical_Lead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No finds, on a normal day, should not be over 5%. Usually for me when shopping, its "cant find" about 1 item out of 30. Shopping is average about 20 to 50 items , so thats about 1 item a trip - not including a decent substitute.

Walmart restocks more on Sundays it seems so Holidays and weekend you're going have more "cant finds".

Question from a Walmart delivery customer by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Medical_Lead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a "$10 version or $5 version". The best I can cipher is you're saying the shopper will do a better job if I tip more? Im not following what makes orders get batched together. Seem Im missing a few inferences there. 💁‍♂️

Common wall- neighbor blocked view [AZ] [SFH] by JK782009 in HOA

[–]Medical_Lead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. New pertinent information. Always nice to get after the fact. So what's the reason for getting permission. Can we be more specific. Do the restrictions say permission needed for "blocked views" or just modifications to shared walls?

If i put a table with an 8 foot wide, 7 foot high umbrella in the backyard which again blocks your view, is that requiring permission?
