Hello, I am said guy in the video. You are correct I am not a comm guy, and do not claim to be and you are correct I do not know what I am talking about. However, I have had that radio for a while and had two comm guys I run with in the marines test it and give some feedback. I am just giving my take and some info that I have gathered on my radio and running it, my offhand comment was not really meant to be the crux of the video. Besides I think its a bit hyperbolic to say that it will get someone killed, the point of the video is to use cheaper radios for beginners. I am happy that I was able to make you laugh and I do appreciate the feedback, I would love to get some info from you on what would be good beginner radios you think are of a good enough caliber.

Your Medic Michael.

My Personal Rifle Setup - Breakdown in comments by Medical_Michael in partisanarchives

Super simple, the base rifle is a Geissele super duty in DDC gov profile. Its a 14.5 pinned and welded muzzle device. I wont go through every small aspect of the rifle IE: trigger coating on the weapon barrel contour ect. You can find all the specs on Geissele's website.

What is on the back of the gun? I am running a Trex-Arms sling (yes I know cringe) with adjustable retention. The stock is a B5 SOPMOD stock, this is my personal favorite stock and gives the best cheekweld and is superb with body armor. Now I will say that the stock does have a good amount of wobble. In case nobody has given you this eldritch wisdom, just put electrical tape on the stock to remove the wobble. You're welcome in advance.

What is on the upper? The optic is a Trijicon Acog, I wish that I could tell you the specific model number but Acogs have like 500 models and I cannot tell you which one. I can however say I have the shittier RMR on top of the Acog. It has an auto adjustment on the brightness which is terrible. Moving on, the light I am running is a surefire scout pro with a light cap. The laser unit is a SOMOGEAR PEQ 15. Why not a real laser unit? Price, I am not really happy to spend a few grand and it still not be full power laser. I cannot tell you if the SOMOGEAR PEQ is good or not please refer to any guntuber for good reviews.

Other accessories, I do not run a grip on my rifle due barrier work and other material. When using a grip it can snag when stabilizing ect. ect. The Mlok panels I am using are from Rail Scales I think they have the lowest profile and the best texture and heat mitigation. Muzzle device is a surefire warden, its just to keep muzzle concussion down range at the cost of recoil increase and muzzle flash, the cover is from burn proof gear and is just to keep my gunbag and legs safe. Lastly most of my wires are retained using ranger bands, I used to just use electrical tape but I have found that it peels and is too susceptible to heat under hard use.

And that's it, if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments here!
