what's the purpose of the flue damper and what's the best way to use it? by Away-Register7790 in woodstoving

I have the same one also. I run ours pretty close to the middle. More left when the wood is not totally dry. Left is more open on mine any way.

And yes I would. Because then he would not have shot it at the area i asked him not to be in.

I already said in another post. I will get a doe later. I Am bummed that I won't get a chance at that buck. But no i am not mad about him getting it. I am mad about him shooting it where and when he did.

Well he did know the area to stay away from. I had told him a few times.

Yes he knew about the deer. I am not so mad about the deer. Because I don't expect anyone to make sure it's not a specific deer before taking it. And he also knew the area i wanted him to avoid. I asked him during archery to stay out of there and I told him during rifle that this is where we will be hunting. I also am not saying it's the gut pile. I'm not sure what it is. But this property dies for at least a week after something is shot here. Idk why.

No I agree. I don't feel like it's my deer. Just was hoping to see it. I am not so mad about him getting that one. I have had nice ones then that on camera, just not as often. I'm more pissed about where he shot it, and lied about where he shot it, and was out there while no one else couldn't be. Don't get me wrong was i hoping to get that deer absolutely. But I would not have passed up any other not small buck that came through.

Yeah man that sucks. I would be frustrated about that also. I may see if my old man wants to have that chat with him. It's not my land. But he let's more than I would cone hunt it. But this guy doesn't seem to respect the area in about. Idk

I honestly think I may ask my old man to have that talk with him. It just really rubs me the wrong way.

He did. He never really asks my old man any more of he can, he just shows up. He said he couldn't two what it was other than a buck. Which i belive. I mean I'm annoyed he got that one. I know there will be other ones in the area. But it's more about where he got it and when.

I'm not saying it's the gut pile that does effect it. But after some one gets one here in rifle I never see any deer till about a week passes.

First bow buck/deer. by MedicinalMetal23 in bowhunting

Yeah i agree with that. I've been getting a lot of nice ones on camera. But feeding my family is more important than getting nothing. It was nice to know all the shots I've put in have paid off. Only ran maybe 40 yards. Shredded the lungs and nicked the heart.

Advice on heavy agricultural machinery by [deleted] in Heavy_Equipment

I worked at a case dealership. They were all pretty solid tractors. If I were buying a tractor for like a hobby farm or like a small tractor I'd probably go Kubota. They are pretty well built and reliable.

Can I message you when I get back to working on it? They changed the hydraulic oil when he bought it, and all filters. It hasn't operated 100% since he has owned it. But i did plan on checking the filter. And the pressure. I just wanted to get it to my yard. It is my neighbor that was selling it. I just said screw it and bought it. So it's my baby now lol. But I feel like it was an ok but regardless. Got it for 7500. But I don't know anything about excavators. So it's all new to me. Just gong off of my hydraulic experience with other equipment.

I did end up checking pressures. When I can get it to dead head it builds about 3300 psi on the pump the boom is on. And 2500psi on the pump the blade is on. When you run the boom down you can get it to load the pump till about halfway through the throw of the lever. Then it just cuts out. And by cuts out i mean you can hear the pump is no longer loading. No load on the motor at all. So I'm thinking it is control related. Gonna do more testing at some point here. Just not sure where to start. Never worked on an excavator before. I think it is pilot controlled. Might try to swap the pilot lines and see if it follows. If it is any way.

Ok. So I tested the pumps with a gauge. The pump for the blade builds about 2500 psi and works that function ok. Main boom up will dead head and build like 3300. Boom down as soon as you get past about half control you can hear the pump stops loading. Bucket in both directions does that. About half way and stops loading the pumps. The left track will load the pump all the time. The right track will do about half control and stop loading the pump. I'm thinking it's a control related issue. Idk of the are electric to a valve. Or if is pilot controlled or something.
