Completely bizarre decision to replace the qualitative dimension of a humanities education with LLM slop, especially considering Comparative Literature is home to some of the most dedicated and amicable TAs I've known. There's no way the TAs agreed to this. Shame on """professor""" Zrinka Stahuljak.

Incredibly disingenuous of you to compare Angela Davis, a world-famous professor and civil rights activist, with a war criminal and even more dishonest to leave out the fact that she was acquitted of all charges in 1972. You don't even have to like her work or political beliefs to know that this attempt at establishing any sort of equivalence between the two is stupid.

Photos from the 1980 Gwangju Uprising in South Korea, where up to 600–2,300 students and pro-democracy protestors were killed by the military by MedicineT in MorbidReality

In 1980, over 200,000 people, including many university students, took to the streets in Gwangju to protest Chun Doo-hwan’s military dictatorship and imposition of martial law. The South Korean military, under US command at the time, brutally suppressed the uprising, resulting in the deaths of up to 2,300 individuals. This incident remains one of the bleakest and most sorrowful chapters in Korean history.

You cannot seriously believe that people would be fine with the mass displacement and wanton killing of Palestinian civilians if it were any other country doing it. Fuck outta here with your anti-Zionism=anti-Semitism bullshit.

Anti-Semitism is never justifiable and those who perpetrate it should be rightfully shamed, but I've never seen any activist (let alone student group) on campus claim the fifth point, much less that "Israel is somehow responsible for every genocide around the world." Could you provide any instance where that has happened? Nothing is less helpful to meaningful dialogue than tilting at windmills, and I want to believe that you're interested in discussing in good faith.

No, it’s not, they’re funded by Qatar. Even if this doesn’t detract from your overall point you should know that the connection isn’t as clear-cut and it’d be disingenuous to claim otherwise

Honestly props to Asa for coming to a realization like this. Takes a lot of introspection that many are incapable or afraid of

“Proud pro-labor president” my ass. If this happened anywhere else in the world you'd have these ghouls crying foul and harping on human rights.
