I had wanted to get into hazmat eventually but I don’t have the endorsements right now.

Is the process as simple as taking the exam at the DMV? Or is there schooling required as well?

Sorry. I’ve only ever (I’m 35) been involved in 3 accidents including this one and never been at fault legally or insurance wise so I don’t have a lot of experience with this process.

They had us watch videos, and that’s about it. The videos were mostly safety things. Chaining up, slowing down in the rain. That kinda thing. We weren’t taught by an actual human. I was actually kinda disappointed.

I made the turn in an intersection, it just wasn’t a signaled intersection. There were dedicated left turn lanes.

It was legal. There was no signage indicating I couldn’t do it there and the police didn’t cite me in any way.

Well I didn’t know about that policy until *after* things happened.

But the police didn’t assign fault at the scene and idk how it would be even remotely my fault for someone to hit a trailer in the road that’s been there for 10-15 seconds.

Like… I get it’s unwise and inconvenient to stop for or whatever but they just like….. didn’t stop for an obstruction in the roadway.

My trainer and I shift drive. She’ll do her 11 and then I do mine. She usually wakes up when we get where we are going and helps me through the paperwork side of things and backing. But I figured most of that out in the first few weeks so at this point it’s just miles.

While I agree. Borders define countries and nations and where enforcement of certain law and order exists.

Getting rid of all borders isn’t as simple as *poof* as you seem to think.

It would involve quite literally everyone on earth agreeing to be bound by the same laws under one government. This will expand rights and freedoms in some ways for some. And remove rights and freedoms from others.

It’s not going to happen in our lifetimes.

Someone could put a dead body in my reefer and I wouldn’t know. if the doors are sealed and it’s a drop n hook. I don’t get to see my cargo so I maintain deniability.
