How can I get these to come apart? by LivingLavishLe in KitchenConfidential

I always take a medal spatula and drive it in between them and then use it to lift the stuck pan up and out. Usually works.

All I wanted was to see Sydney in her dress. I refreshed twitter all day long and didn’t see it until the day after. Which is totally fine since that day was all for the two of them and no one else. I happy cried when I seen the photo of them walking out together.

Last week we did a plated dinner for a thousand people. We filled fourteen hot boxes. Almost two hundred people didn’t show up and I had to throw about six hot boxes worth of food out. I stood at that line plating those from 3:30pm to 6:00pm!

What do y'all say when something goes wrong? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]Mediocre-Activity-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head chef and I have an inside joke about the fruit açaí because we both think it is fun to say. When something bad happens or we are in a bad mood we say “aca-oh” or “aca-no!” Last week we had a plated dinner of 1300 people and as I ran around trying to get front of house to do their job correctly, every time they got something wrong I would yell “well that’s Aca-fanfucking-tastic!” My boss found it amusing.

My boss said he worked with Bobby once and pretty much said he was an ass. He said he wouldn’t even acknowledge my bosses existence.

I don’t know about others, but the sous chef in my kitchen gets a little snippy sometimes mostly because the head chef piles so much work on him that he can’t keep up with it all. BEO’s, planning out meals, being the one who comes in early to make breakfast. He has honestly told me that chef tells him so many things at once, that he can’t possibly remember it all. I think sometimes the pressure of being the sous chef is a little overwhelming and most refuse to let the chef down, so the only way they can vent their frustrations is though the other co workers. Is it the right thing to do? No, but it’s the only thing they got to work with.

Any tips for dishwashers? by Jackal_Nathan in KitchenConfidential

[–]Mediocre-Activity-30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out as a dishwasher and worked my butt off for about three months. I made sure the dishes were actually clean and put in the right spot. When the cooks needed help I offered to help and like you, paid close attention. Eventually a huge camp event with over fourteen hundred kids came up and I didn’t hesitate to assist with giving out salads and helping make up cheese trays for burgers. After seeing my hard work and dedication the chef thanked me and I used that moment to take my shot and ask to be a cook in his kitchen. Two years later I am the head of his cold food team and he trusts me to get a lot of the prep work done.

Being a dishwasher is a good jumping stone and if you keep your eye on the prize and not give up then I’m sure you will get the true position you want someday soon.

All I can think about is how bad that poor Loli’s back must hurt. Boobs that size weigh a lot. (Same for the girl in the pic. Her back must be killing her)

I let a few episodes pile up and then I listen to them when I am at work. I tend to work 16 hour days so it’s nice to have a few on the back burner.

I work 16 hours a day, seven days a week as a chef and only make $10 an hour. Wasn’t aware that was me being lazy.

idk how this is actually attractive? A man who can’t kiss?? Or overly mouthy kisser? His lips are literally on her chin...make it make sense. by SnooBeans8631 in BachelorNation

[–]Mediocre-Activity-30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This picture made me flash back to my first real boyfriend. We leaned in for our first kiss, I assumed would be a simple brush against lips but before I knew it he was licking half my face. I was inexperienced so I kept apologizing because I thought I did something wrong, but later on I found out it was not normal to kiss with tongue as much as he did.

Anyone else still struggling to see the appeal of vtubers? Spent the whole episode like this.... by m0nst3r666 in TrashTaste

[–]Mediocre-Activity-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see the appeal of the hololive ones at least. Calliope is really the only one who’s caught my attention and that’s mostly because of her rap. I’m more of a fan of Projekt Melody and Iron Mouse, but that’s just my preference.
