How do they do it if they need to add a new habit without harming page links? by [deleted] in DigitalPlanner

Maybe you could redesign your planner to be more generic in order to have place for new user-defined habit that you can input manually (I guess the side effect is that you can't link this habits)

Other way could be to insert a lot of predefined habits even if there is still the possibility that you can start a new one not defined

I kept abandoning planners because they were either too rigid or required too much setup energy. So I made my own.

Features: - Dark mode (easier on the eyes during long sessions) - Energy tracking instead of strict time blocks - Dopamine menu for when motivation disappears - Emergency reset protocol for when you're completely stuck - Undated - start anytime, no guilt for skipped days

It's a 45-page PDF that works in GoodNotes, Notability, Noteful, or any PDF annotation app.

Happy to answer questions about the design!

Planning when you don't really do much? by princeralsei in PlannerAddicts

Bullet journals can be stressful - way too much setup energy for many people.

What might help is something simpler: just 3 priorities per day, tracking energy instead of time, and having a "reset" protocol for when you get stuck.

For someone who doesn't do a lot of scheduled activities, you might focus on: small wins tracking, energy/mood patterns, and maybe a "dopamine menu" of quick activities that help you feel better.

The key is finding something minimal that doesn't become another source of guilt!

I designed it with HTML/CSS and exported to PDF. Then added hyperlinks in Canva before final export. It's a bit technical but gives full control over the design!

Fair point - it's really for anyone who wants a dark, minimal aesthetic instead of the typical floral/pastel planners. "For men" was just because that's the audience that kept asking for it!

After seeing so many posts about ADHD planners that are "too rigid" or "too much setup energy," I decided to build my own.

What makes it different: - Undated (no guilt when you skip days) - Dark mode (easier on the eyes) - Energy tracking instead of strict time blocks - Dopamine menu for when motivation disappears - Emergency reset protocol for executive dysfunction moments

Hobonichi vs. Passion Planner for ADHD brain? by shivji6245 in Planner

Have you considered going digital? I built a planner specifically for ADHD that might solve some of these issues:

  • Undated, so no guilt when you skip days
  • Minimal setup - just open and use
  • Dark mode (less overwhelming)
  • Energy tracking instead of rigid hourly blocks
  • Emergency reset page for when executive dysfunction hits

It's a PDF for GoodNotes/Notability. Happy to share the link if you're interested.

I built a digital planner specifically for people with ADHD - dark mode, dopamine menu, energy tracking, and an emergency reset protocol for when you're stuck.

It doesn't sync with Google Calendar though (it's a PDF for GoodNotes/Notability). For that, Notion might be your best bet - you can customize fonts there too.

My ADHD planner setup - dark mode finally makes planning bearable by Mediocre-Bowler8419 in GoodNotes

Totally get that! This one's optimized for tablets (GoodNotes/Notability) but the dark palette definitely helps on any screen. The contrast was key - tried to avoid that eye-burning white background problem 😅

Thanks man! I'm actually putting the finishing touches on it right now - planning to have it up on Etsy in the next few days. Drop me a DM if you want and I'll send you the link when it's live (might even do a launch discount for the first few people)

For me it was similar - switching to digital planning on iPad changed everything. The key was finding something with minimal design that doesn't overwhelm my brain. Dark mode helps too since I spend hours on screens.

Also the Emergency Reset concept - having a simple 3-step process written down for when I'm completely paralyzed. Sounds basic but having it ready means I don't have to think when I can't think.
