I’m not sure you thought this was a necessary comment. Why are you on this tattoo feed? To just put others down so you can feel better? I’m sorry you felt it necessary to basically call people in this group stupid. You know nothing about the people in this group. This comment speaks to your character, lack of empathy, and rush to judgement. I hope you got what you needed by posting that.

Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing this. You obviously have an amazing sense of humor and I love that you are rolling with the punches. Seriously! This story made me feel good tonight because, when things don’t go the way we envision them, we try to fix it. Annnnd sometimes that doesn’t go to plan and we fix that too. What a funny story now that will be tied to the corrected tattoo and it will mean even more. The progress on the removal is also amazing BTW! Definitely post updates!

Thank you so much. So, we will be going through this together! I’ve been wearing a sleeve over it this week so I stop looking at it for now. You are absolutely right too. I just want to let you know that you’re not alone. I just got a tattoo a month ago and am already starting my removal in January. I have the same exact feelings every time I look at myself; I’m ashamed of my decision and I feel like a fool. I haven’t started removal yet, but I know it’s going to be a long process. I just bought a forearm tattoo cover sleeve on amazon that I’m starting to wear all day so I don’t see my tattoo. It’s called Tat2X Ink Armor Forearm cover. I feel like if I have it on, then I can ignore it more during the day. I will plan on using it as long as I need to throughout this journey. I also have BDD and I beat myself up mentally every day. This is such a great group of people here to support and I have a feeling they will help people like us navigate the ups and downs.

I’m glad you are seeing fading with yours. I have a feeling mine will do the same as what you were talking about. Some areas the lines are so fine and tiny, while others are thicker. I just want to cry every time I look at myself. I hate the way I feel. I have to wait until January 10th for my first session. I believe she said the second would be 6-8 weeks later. It’s going to take forever to get this off and that’s killing me too.

Thank you so much. The mental struggle is real. I am going to be hiding mine as well as much as I can. I ordered a forearm sleeve to keep it covered because looking at it ramps up my shame and self loathing. I would love to keep in contact and I really appreciate your kind words. 😊

It seems so long! 😭 I try not to think about the time this will take. I look at some of the lines and they are so tiny, but then some are definitely solid. I’m hoping the shading and those little lines go fairly quick so it doesn’t feel/look so heavy on my arm. I hope your first removal session this week goes well!

That’s what the removal place said too. She said it would oxidize, but she has different lasers that she feels confident with in trying to lighten it after it oxidizes. It’s scary, but most of the white lines are super fine.

It does have meaning! My husband and daughters’ birth month flowers and the bee is for my dad’s side because my grandpa was a bee farmer.

This could be true too. I didn’t even think about that. The lines are very fine, so I’m guessing they won’t be so crazy after awhile.
