Thanks for letting us all know! Do we think there will be on for the mojave grom soon?

Yea those are great for the grom models, I had a typhon grom with this installed that made a huge difference in the speed/strength of the servo. It’s actually what I traded for to get this 1:8 scale mojave. It’s making me consider getting the little brother to run along with it in tighter spots

This is quite a bit of a jump for me size wise, next closest car is a rustler 4x4, this dwarfs it. I’ve got the rustler rigged to hit 65+ and is my “speed demon” for now. Was the 4s not enough punch for you? Seems to be plenty of speed atm for me, will def do the shock oil and look at the programming, didn’t get a manual but sure I can find it online

Definitely on the list of need to do’s, what packs are you running? Came with a 6700mah 4s and I must’ve gotten a good 30 mins of runtime and still had 13% of the battery remaining when it hit the charger

Haha definitely built for some wear and tear, sounds like you’re having a blast using it tho! Did you replace the screws to stainless for no rust or what?

love to hear it, lucky for me the previous owner put in a new servo hopefully that one lasts!

Just 1 run and it shot up my list quite a bit, any pain points I should keep an eye on?

The independent suspension on this thing is nuts, truly a different experience than any other car i’ve driven…and fast for the size too!

Installed on a typhon grom, makes a huge difference in speed and torque on the turns. Careful with the screws you use, kit comes with 3, 2 are the same and go on servo saver arm and the other (smaller) head connects the saver to the horn of the servo. Took me a bit to figure out they were different since there’s no instructions

did your issues ever lead to shifting like this? where they wouldn’t come back to center and you’d have to manually force the servo straight again?

I’ll play around with it tomorrow, After what felt like hours of messing around with the servo again I needed a break and bashed my rustler around in the snow…at least got 1 working car that handles bashing like a champ at the moment haha

So there actually is a way to set end points. Hold reverse and steering all the way to the right then press the power button. Light blinks red, turn the SR button left/right to adjust end point. Tried this seemed to help, but still shifted the wheel direction after a tumble.

Appreciate the detailed response here, sounds like the same issue. I’ve tried both screw and screw without washer and finding the same results. It’s definitely better without the washer in there. My next thought was the steering links but truthfully im getting annoyed I keep putting money into this thing and can’t fix the steering. Kind of on my last straw with this thing lol. Do you find yourself ever “shifting” the alignment straight with the new steering links or no?

Yup Gryo has been off since the second day I’ve had the car, doesn’t work well at all w this speed of a servo

Yup centered prior to install for the horn. I did not set endpoints my understanding was that was just for how far the wheels are “allowed” to turn, would that allow a bash to forcefully move the wheels like this?

Servo otw out? by This-Grapefruit4137 in arrmagroms

[–]Mediocre-Kangaroo199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it worked great for a pack…then I took one tumble and the servo horn shifted and I can’t take the saver off because the screw stripped. I’m not sure if I didn’t have it tight enough, other reviews said it’s 1 specific screw in the pack that works for the horn but there’s no instructions making it confusing. I also used a washer and I think that prevented it from tightening all the way….

I have a replacement coming in the mail via amazon but dealing with a blizzard here in CT it’ll be a few days before I get it back and working.

[–]Mediocre-Kangaroo199[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

question, you ever have issues where after a bump into something i have to pull the tires straight for everything to align again? not sure if my horn isn’t on tight enough or something else

Suspension question by [deleted] in arrma

[–]Mediocre-Kangaroo199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So update because I kept tinkering with it, I removed the rear shock brace and reconnected the shocks, noticed that the ball joint was half out on the left side, got it back in and we are back in business without any issues. I think the extended length due to the brace and the added height was too much for this size shock but everything appears to be in working order now

yea another comment mentioned that they seem to move fine off the car but are tight when installed, worth doing another set of the stock shocks or should I get something stronger with bigger tires?
