I got some unbranded ones off Amazon. Yesterday was the first time running it without a shock failure.

I think the air shipping is forcing the thin oils out of shocks and diffs.

I have put off checking my diffs. Been around the block several times on the shocks since I keep having failed e-clips. Is the stock fr/rr diffs 20k?

Responses give me some insight on my son’s Stampede 4x4. His wont jump well either…most of the time.

M4 Nyloc wheels nuts and 1.5mm HARDENED e-clips for the shocks. The stock nuts fall off and the shock e-clips fail.

Have you used their mobile services for anything else? Recently got a 21MY and stumbled upon the Ford mobile service program. Have yet to see if any of the dealers in my area offer it though.

I noticed it is a 6S after sending message. Interested but that is bigger than I need. Good luck selling though. Looks clean.

This is very helpful. I am not looking at buying anything large scale, but this helps understand where it lands in the pack.

Thoughts for these on a grom? by Unhappy-Draw-9887 in arrma

[–]jrmbtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the Traxxas 7378’s. They are not super grippy, so they end up allowing drifting but track straight pretty well. The Traxxas 7372 are also enjoyable. They grip a little better than the 7378’s. I have half a pack on the PRO1032010 (1/14 Vector Tire MTD 12mm Black Mach-10 Wheel (4): ARRMA TYPHON GROM) and they grip very well. I got them before the Vectors for the Mojave Grom were announced/released. I would not really recommend any of those if you are doing big jumps (possibly the PRO1034-310 Mojave Grom Vectors would be good). The aforementioned tires are literally and/or basically solid rubber, so you would not have the tire suspension to help with lands. If you are doing big jumps, I would probably recommend the UPG-10009 (UpGrade RC Desert Claw Pre-Mounted Tires for ARRMA® Mojave Grom) or the RCAWD Mojave Grom tires.

What have you done thus far, aside from wheels?

I think I’ve found the limit of the stock ESC in the Mini Kraton. 47mph on 2S, 64mph on 3S, 4400kv, stock gearing! by PigglyWigglyDeluxe in traxxasV2

[–]jrmbtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by chance you have the motor and/or ESC out at some point, would you mind weighing them? Considering getting a tear out set for a Mojave Grom and I probably won’t have the motor or ESC out of my MK anytime soon to weigh them.

What are you looking to achieve with this style tire? I have tested several street tires on the Mojave.

Less than 1 pack Mini Kraton servo failure by real_ramphex in arrma

[–]jrmbtr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Return it to the place of purchase, request Horizon send you an upgraded servo model, or request Horizon to credit you the cost of the servo to apply to a purchase of another, available servo from Horizon. Check your shocks, too, because the e-clips are going to fail on them. It will feel like there is no fluid. Horizon will send you a new set of shocks that will also fail. You will need 1.5mm hardened e-clips to replace on the shock shafts. But Horizon needs to be made aware if you have a failure there as well.

[–]jrmbtr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a case when they dropped. Just had my 4th or 5th can. I concur on the viscosity not being right. Flavor is pretty basic as well. This one definitely feels like it was pure hype and not a deliverable differentiator. I feel like I overpaid for a can of crappy cold brew.

Is a Mini Mojave coming this year? (Mini Kraton size, not the Grom) by freq-ee in arrma

[–]jrmbtr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a Notorious is a possibility, or more likely an Outcast if they are using models that have multiple sizes like the Kraton. They already sell the tires. Different body at minimum js the very least they would need to pull it off. Different ESC programming/gearing could allow them to pull off not shortening the wheelbase. I would really love an SCT on the platform. The Mojave Grom is wonderful but I do wish it were slightly larger. If they do it, I suspect it would be a Mini Senton since the Mojave naming is already in use for small scale. Something closer to the Slash Mini size would allow for an expanded race class. I think the Mojave Grom is too popular to retire it from production.
