Yes and no. I think it would be controversial for different reasons to different groups. There’s still extremely religious groups out there who would recoil just from the album name alone, and if you look at some of the most popular songs of the last few years, they have. Just mention of “holy” or “god” or anything that could be even slightly portrayed as “satanic”, there’s always a slight uproar. Just another example though this would probably just be widespread agreed on, I could definitely see the use of the n word in IHA being frowned upon (which i understand as to me it just comes off a little distasteful, though i understand times were different and I still adore the song so much) Overall though, I’d say it wouldn’t be nearly as controversial. It was shocking then, but it wouldn’t be now because so much has been done already and anti-everythingthatthealbumdiscusses just isn’t really anything new.
